Job description

AMERICAN SYSTEMS is an employee-owned federal government contractor supporting national priority programs through our strategic solutions in the areas of Information Technology, Test & Evaluation, Program Mission Support, Engineering & Analysis, and Training.


  • Design, implementation, and verification of secure IT infrastructure and participation in planning, development, and deployment.
  • Provide advisory support to the ISSM on ATO extensions and BoE review. 
  • Perform high level architecture/security engineering responsibility.
  • Ensure automated information system (AIS) and network nodes are operated, maintained, and
  • Analyze, design, and implement technical security controls for complex information systems in accordance with RMF, NIST, and DoD requirements.
  • Perform configuration assessments, vulnerability assessments, and risk assessments for systems, applications, and supporting infrastructure.
  • Configure, deploy, and validate security tools and technologies to monitor, detect, and protect against cyber threats.
  • Support the development, documentation, and maintenance of assessment and authorization (A&A) packages, including system security plans (SSPs), plans of action and milestones (POA&Ms), and supporting artifacts.
  • Conduct security impact analyses for system changes and recommend appropriate security engineering solutions.
  • Participate in incident tracking and remediation activities; support root-cause analysis and corrective actions to prevent recurrence.

  • Bachelor's degree and 11-12 years of related work experience
  • TS/SCI clearance 
  • U.S. Citizenship Required for the purposes of obtaining/holding a U.S. security clearance
  • Must meet DoD 8140 qualification requirements for the Systems Security Analyst work role, designated as work role code 461 at the Advanced proficiency level

Actual compensation will be determined based on several factors permitted by law.
