Platinum Technologies is seeking an Data Science & Analytics Technical Lead to join our company. The Data Science & Analytics Technical Lead provides leadership, technical direction, and oversight for data science, analytics, and decision-support activities. The position leads analytical initiatives, manages distributed teams, and ensures delivery of high-quality analytical products that support mission, operational, and strategic objectives.

This role is onsite at MacDill AFB, Tampa, FL (Onsite)

Required Clearance: Active TS/SCI security clearance

Key Responsibilities

•    Lead the planning, execution, and delivery of data science and analytics initiatives.
•    Provide technical oversight and mentorship to analysts and data scientists.
•    Develop and implement analytical methodologies and reporting solutions.
•    Translate customer requirements into actionable analytical products.
•    Coordinate analytical activities across multiple organizations and stakeholders.
•    Establish standards and best practices for data analysis and reporting.
•    Evaluate and integrate emerging digital capabilities and technologies.
•    Present findings and recommendations to senior leadership.
•    Ensure data integrity, quality, and compliance with applicable standards.
•    Support strategic planning through data-driven insights.
•    Lead development of data governance and quality assurance processes.
•    Manage analytical roadmaps, priorities, and resource allocation.
•    Conduct technical reviews of analytical products and methodologies.
•    Develop performance metrics, KPIs, and measurement frameworks.
•    Support continuous process improvement and innovation initiatives.


Required Qualifications

•    Active TS/SCI security clearance.
•    Bachelor of Science (BS) in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Applied Mathematics, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related quantitative discipline.
•    Current DoD 8570-compliant certification.
•    Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and analytical initiatives.
•    Strong written and verbal communication skills.
•    Experience managing multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.
•    Knowledge of data management principles and analytics methodologies.
•    Experience developing executive-level briefings and reports.
•    Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
•    Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.


Desired Qualifications

•    Five (5) years of experience working in SOF analytical support.
•    Three (3) years of experience centrally managing distributed data support teams in SOF organizations at the headquarters echelon.
•    Three (3) years of experience with SOF digital capabilities.
•    Three (3) years of experience with SOF Headquarters elements, SOF Service Component Headquarters, and Theater Special Operations Commands.
•    Experience with enterprise analytics platforms and business intelligence tools.
•    Experience supporting geographically dispersed organizations.
•    Experience implementing data governance frameworks.
•    Experience mentoring and developing technical personnel.
