Job Responsibilities
Summary of the Position
This position is responsible for inside sales and technical service, working in concert with the Technical Services Manager, and has outside sales responsibility with designated national and OEM accounts not currently covered by the field sales group. This individual also represents Harris on certain CGA committees as assigned. This position is based in Gainesville, GA and reports to the Manager of Specialty Products.
Key Deliverables
  1. Increased sales of Harris products through internal customer calls and external representation with OEM customers.
  2. Increased on-time shipments of product through internal follow-up and completion of ISO documents
  3. Obtain Sales results with assigned customers to meet or exceed annual sales budget
  4. Make Structured Sales Calls to assigned OEM and National Account customers
  5. Generate additional sales leads through inside sales efforts
  6. Compile market information for the spec gas, medical and manifold markets
  7. Develop customer relationships and distribution channels to support continued growth of specialty products.
  8. Provide technical support to outside sales and customers on all Harris equipment products
  9. Train customers on Harris products and capabilities
  10. Keep Travel & Expense costs at or below annual budget

Key Accountability Metrics
Successful execution of the key responsibilities will result in the following -
  1. Increased sales of specialty and industrial products through the distribution channel. This will be measured in monthly executive summaries and sales reports.
  2. Increased sales of specialty and industrial products through the OEM channel. This will be measured in monthly executive summaries and sales reports
  3. Increased customer satisfaction as measured in monthly on-time shipment metrics
  4. Increased sales in the OEM channel. This will be measured in monthly executive summaries and sales reports.
  5. Completion of monthly sales calls confirmed on executive summaries submitted monthly.
  6. Increased sales through inside sales and technical service duties as reported on monthly sales reports.
  7. Continuous compilation of market data used to target specific customers and applications for Harris equipment sales.
  8. New relationships developed with existing customers and new customers as measured by increased orders specific to those accounts.
  9. Increased support for field sales activities and their interaction with distributors and end-users.
  10. Increased customer knowledge of Harris products and equipment through distributor training with key accounts.
  11. Utilization of computer, phone, databases and other tools to complement the day-to-day activities interacting with customers and internal personnel
  12. Meeting of budget goals for travel and expenses.

Job Requirements
Education and/or Experience
Required
  • 2-4 years' experience in a field related to gas pressure and flow control equipment
  • High School diploma
  • Working knowledge of ERP as related to inventory, production and customer service
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Word and Excel

Preferred
  • 2-year degree in a science or engineering related field
