Technical Sales Manager is a proactive and customer-focused person with a strong technical and commercial background. Responsible for collaborating in the Industrial field and creating partnerships and sales opportunities with Industrial customers.
Technical Sales Manager must understand business needs, stay updated on industry trends, and collaborate with stakeholders to ensure that market requirements are fully grasped and execution plans align with expectations. Technical Sales Manager identifies and prioritizes opportunities that support Mirka's goals, helping to shape the company's strategic direction.
In practice Technical Sales Manager has capabilities and drive to identify and hunt new Industrial customers and business opportunities in complex focus applications. Collaboration with other Mirka organizations is crucial to succeed in the role.
Role is regional, requiring frequent traveling and good language skills.
Requirements
Essential Functions & Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify, target, and engage prospective customers within designated focus markets to generate qualified leads and sales opportunities.
  • Develop and execute territory growth plans to expand market presence and achieve revenue objectives.
  • Build relationships with key decision-makers and influencers to uncover new business opportunities and maintain a healthy sales pipeline.
  • Represent the company at trade shows, industry conferences, customer demonstrations, and networking events.
  • Promote company products, solutions, and technical expertise to increase brand visibility and generate new business opportunities.
  • Stay informed of industry trends, market developments, and competitive activities to identify emerging opportunities.
  • Recommend and demonstrate technical solutions that improve customer processes, productivity, quality, and profitability.
  • Guide customers through the entire sales cycle, from initial discovery and solution development through implementation and post-sale support.
  • Foster long-term customer relationships that drive retention, satisfaction, and business growth.
  • Partner with distributors, end users, OEMs, industry associations, and internal stakeholders to create mutually beneficial business relationships.
  • Work closely with marketing, product management, customer service, and technical support teams to ensure alignment and successful customer outcomes.
  • Evaluate customer applications and processes to identify opportunities for improved efficiency, productivity, quality, and cost savings.
  • Support product trials, demonstrations, and implementation activities to validate solution effectiveness.
  • Maintain accurate and timely records of customer interactions, opportunities, forecasts, and activities within the CRM system.
  • Document successful applications, case studies, and best practices that demonstrate customer value and business impact.
  • Prepare and communicate regular sales activity and pipeline reports to management.
  • Share technical expertise, customer insights, and successful sales strategies with colleagues and cross-functional teams.
  • Mentor and support team members in developing product knowledge, technical competency, and consultative selling skills.
  • Participate in ongoing training and professional development to maintain expertise in products, applications, and industry trends.
