Job description

About Texas Aerospace Scholars:

Texas Aerospace Scholars (TAS) is an immersive STEM learning opportunity for Texas students, designed to inspire the next generation of explorers through direct engagement with NASA's missions and STEM career pathways.
 

Description:

The technical reviewer supports up to 60 TAS students participating in the Launch Pad junior online learning community using online learning management systems. Students complete a series of module assignments and technical reviewers answer questions, assess work, and provide frequent feedback. These tasks are key to participant success and retention.
 

Major Responsibilities:

  • Promote a positive and collaborative online learning environment by supporting student success through prompt, individualized, and constructive feedback.
  • Engage and guide students daily using best teaching practices, assessing STEM activities within required timelines to ensure a challenging and enriching NASAaligned learning experience.
  • Maintain clear, professional, and timely communication with students and program coordinators while using proper channels and enforcing course expectations.
  • Apply effective project management practices by following established procedures, meeting milestones, adapting to changing needs, and supporting program evaluation and reporting.
  • Foster teamwork and professionalism, encouraging cooperation and respect among all participants while actively supporting Texas Aerospace Scholars goals.
  • Ensure safe, efficient, and responsible use of time, equipment, and resources while protecting confidentiality, maintaining secure operations, and modeling stewardship for all students.
