Job description

Job Announcement The City of Chandler Fire Department is currently seeking qualified individuals interested in joining our team as a Privacy & Compliance Senior Analyst. The position is scheduled to work 5 days, 8 hours. Current City of Chandler employees may only hold one position and are not eligible for additional part-time or secondary positions within the City of Chandler.

Chandler Fire started out as a volunteer organization and is now an all career department.

City charter authorizes the Department to mitigate all hazards, including fire suppression, emergency medical services (EMS), hazardous materials response, technical rescue, and crisis intervention. In support of those functions, the Fire Department staffs a fire prevention bureau, EMS and training divisions, mechanical maintenance facility, community preparedness office, and Department administration. Chandler Fire is: Responsive to the Needs of the Community Committed to Community Involvement Dedicated to Customer Service Proud of our Professionalism Who we are looking for Our new team member will have a passion for customer service, teamwork, and collaboration.

We are seeking someone to review and analyze transportation patient care reports for compliance and quality assurance and will function as the department's HIPAA and Billing Compliance subject matter expert assisting in the development and implementation of the Chandler Fire Departments Compliance Program. Minimum qualifications Bachelor's degree in a medical-related field, business administration, public administration, or related field; and 1 year of experience in patient care reporting or medication documentation review, including data compilation, analysis and quality assurance of patient care reports; and NAAC Certified Ambulance Compliance Officer (CACO), NAAC Certified Ambulance Privacy Officer (CAPO), and NAAC Certified Ambulance Coder (CAC) within one (1) year of hire; or any equivalent combination of experience and training which provides the knowledge and abilities necessary to perform the work.

This is a regular full-time position, subject to a 6-month probationary period. A register of qualified candidates will be active for 4 months should another position become available. The City of Chandler will conduct a pre-employment drug and alcohol test, an Office of Inspector General exclusion list verification, driving record check and reference check as a condition of employment.

An offer of employment is contingent upon acceptable results. All applicants hired will be required to be fingerprinted with successful results as a condition of continued employment. Applicants for employment and volunteer opportunities should be aware of the City of Chandler's policies concerning the use of drugs and alcohol.

These policies have not been altered by the passage of Proposition 207. The use of recreational marijuana is a violation of the city's Drug Free Workplace Policy. Certain positions within the city are required to submit to a pre-employment drug test.

A positive result for drugs tested under the policy, including recreational marijuana, may be grounds for withdrawal of an offer of employment or volunteer opportunity.
