Job description

Corpay is currently looking to hire a Technical Services Specialist within our Corpay division. This position falls under our North American Vehicle Payments line of business and is located in Brentwood, TN. In this role, the Technical Services Specialist will be responsible for transforming complex data into meaningful insights, developing scalable reporting solutions, and supporting both internal teams and customers with high-quality analytics. The primary focus of this position is the design, development, automation, and optimization of reporting solutions using tools such as SQL, Tableau, BI, Excel, and other business intelligence platforms.

The Technical Services Specialist will partner directly with customers, business stakeholders, implementation teams, sales, and technical resources to understand reporting requirements, develop tailored analytics solutions, validate data, and improve the overall reporting experience.

The role will also support the continued evolution of Corpay’s reporting capabilities by identifying opportunities to automate manual processes, improve data accessibility, and introduce more advanced visualization and self-service reporting capabilities.

 You will report directly to the Technical Services Manager and regularly collaborate with external customers, Account Management, Sales, and internal reporting and technical services teams.

How We Work

As a Technical Services Specialist, you will work in a hybrid environment and report to our Brentwood, TN office 4 days a week.

Role Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role will include:

  • Designing, developing, and maintaining interactive dashboards, reports, and visualizations using Business Objects, or similar business intelligence tools.
  • Developing custom reports and dashboards that provide actionable insights into customer activity, transactions, spend patterns, operational performance, and other key business metrics.
  • Automating recurring reporting processes and data workflows to improve efficiency, accuracy, and delivery against established SLAs.
  • Partnering directly with customers to understand reporting requirements, troubleshoot data issues, validate results, and recommend effective reporting solutions.
  • Analyzing complex datasets to identify trends, anomalies, data quality concerns, and opportunities for process improvement.
  • Collaborating with Sales, Implementation, Account Management and Technology teams to ensure successful customer onboarding and implementation.
  • Supporting data validation and reconciliation activities to ensure the accuracy and integrity of customer-facing reporting.
  • Creating and maintaining reporting documentation, data definitions, business rules, and standard operating procedures.
  • Identifying opportunities to modernize legacy reporting processes through automation, visualization, and improved data architecture.
  • Providing analytical support for complex customer inquiries and time-sensitive reporting needs.
  • Helping establish reporting standards, best practices, and reusable solutions across the organization.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Analytics, Information Systems, Data Analytics, Computer Science, Finance, or a related field preferred; equivalent professional experience will be considered.
  • 1-2 years of experience in a professional business, technical, reporting, or analytics environment.
  •  1-2 years of experience in report development, data analysis, business intelligence, client reporting, or technical analytics support.
  • Strong experience with Tableau, Power BI, Business Objects, or another enterprise BI platform.
  • Advanced Excel skills, including formulas, pivot tables, data modeling, and automation; macro/VBA experience is a plus.
  • Experience developing dashboards, data visualizations, and executive or customer-facing reporting.
  • Strong understanding of data validation, reconciliation, data quality, and reporting accuracy.
  • Ability to translate technical data into clear, meaningful insights for both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with exceptional attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver accurate results in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work directly with customers and senior stakeholders.
  • Experience supporting customer implementations, onboarding, or technical integrations is preferred.
  • Transportation, fleet, payments, fintech, or commercial card industry experience is a plus.
  • Experience with API-based data, cloud-based reporting platforms, or modern data visualization tools is a plus.
