Job description

Software Guidance & Assistance, Inc., (SGA), is searching for an IT Project Manager for a Contract assignment with one of our premier Utility clients in New Braunfels, TX .
This is a hybrid position requiring onsite attendance three days per week.
Responsibilities :
  • Lead complex technology initiatives from planning through execution, ensuring delivery against established scope, schedule, and business objectives.
  • Manage project activities across the full Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Project Management Life Cycle (PMLC).
  • Coordinate cross-functional teams and facilitate communication between business stakeholders, technical teams, and external partners.
  • Drive project governance, risk management, issue resolution, status reporting, and executive-level communications.
  • Oversee vendor relationships, project dependencies, and third-party deliverables to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Support enterprise technology modernization efforts, including infrastructure, platform, and cloud-based solution implementations.
  • Manage deployments involving cybersecurity technologies, network environments, and SaaS-based platforms.
  • Partner with business and technology leadership to ensure organizational readiness, adoption, and successful project execution.
  • Facilitate project planning sessions, resource coordination, milestone tracking, and stakeholder alignment throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Contribute to strategic transformation initiatives involving technology environment separation and operational transition activities.
Required Skills :
  • Approximately 10+ years of IT project management experience leading medium to large-scale technology initiatives.
  • Demonstrated expertise managing projects through both SDLC and PMLC frameworks.
  • Strong stakeholder management skills with the ability to influence and communicate effectively across all organizational levels.
  • Experience managing third-party vendors, consultants, and delivery partners.
  • Proven track record delivering technology deployment projects on time and within scope.
  • Hands-on experience leading platform implementation and deployment initiatives.
  • Experience managing cybersecurity-focused technology projects.
  • Experience overseeing network infrastructure deployment or enhancement projects.
  • Experience with SaaS implementation, migration, or deployment efforts.
  • Strong project planning, risk management, budgeting, and project reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
Preferred Skills :
  • Experience supporting large-scale IT transformation or infrastructure separation initiatives.
  • Background working within manufacturing, industrial, or operational technology (OT) environments.
  • Experience managing projects involving the separation, consolidation, or modernization of enterprise technology environments.
  • Knowledge of Agile, Waterfall, or hybrid project delivery methodologies.
  • Project management certifications such as PMP, PgMP, or equivalent.
