Senior/Principal Technical Project Manager

Zeno is seeking a highly motivated Technical Project Manager to support the mission-oriented efforts of developing and bringing to market Radioisotope Power Systems (RPS) technologies. This role will specifically support Zeno's space portfolio and require interface with payload integration customers and launch vehicles providers. Ideal candidates will have experience with delivering systems through design, assembly, test and launch integration activities.

In this role you will:

  • Develop and manage resource loaded schedules for Zeno's projects
  • Coordinate schedule and cost inputs from Zeno stakeholders, including government agencies, the U.S. Department of Energy, and contractors
  • Ensure sound project management methodology is applied for control of the schedule and cost of projects
  • Develop, implement, and enforce baseline schedule and costs, including variance and metrics analysis
  • Manage, evaluate and make recommendations to the Director of Project Management for proposed schedule and cost baseline change control requests
  • Monitor and ensure Zeno, contractors, and supplier performance meets the baseline schedule and cost requirements
  • Support procurement activities such as procurement document development, acquisition, execution, and contract close out

Key Qualifications and Skills

  • B.S. or higher in an engineering discipline from accredited university with 5+ years of engineering management or project management experience
  • Demonstrated experience in developing and implementing schedules and costs in an aerospace or nuclear environment
  • Strong understanding of baseline change control and configuration management
  • Project Management Professional certification is desired
  • MS Project or P6 experience required
  • Experience managing a first of a kind or engineering design project strongly preferred
  • Must be a self-starter and possess ability to coordinate and lead a project management effort with minimal direction
  • Performs effectively under pressure and consistently meets deadlines in an uncertain environment
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Demonstrated understanding of launch vehicle integration requirements and the ability to translate technical integration activities into executable project schedules, budgets, and risk management plans.
  • Experience coordinating cross-functional engineering teams through spacecraft integration, environmental testing, launch campaign planning, and mission readiness reviews.
  • Familiarity with launch provider milestone planning, deliverables, certification processes, and customer interface requirements.

Job Functions

  • Position requires in-office presence in Seattle (South Lake Union) on Tuesdays, Wednesdays, and Thursdays, remote work is optional on Mondays and Fridays

Compensation and Benefits

The anticipated salary band for this position is $150,000-175,000. The final job level and compensation will be determined by various factors such as a candidate's relevant work experience, years of relevant experience, skills, qualifications, certifications, and other business considerations.
