This role is responsible for overseeing the full lifecycle of multi-million-dollar solar installations—from preconstruction planning and estimating through execution, closeout, and client handoff. While this position offers remote flexibility, regular travel to active project sites is required. The ideal candidate is a strong leader with expertise in electrical construction, contract management, budgeting, and field operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare detailed cost estimates and solicit pricing from subcontractors, suppliers, and equipment vendors.

  • Develop and submit comprehensive project proposals with all required documentation.

  • Manage subcontract agreements and purchase orders, providing oversight throughout execution.

  • Plan and coordinate project resources including labor, materials, tools, and equipment.

  • Lead day-to-day project operations, ensuring adherence to budget, schedule, safety standards, and quality expectations.

  • Supervise project supervisors and field management staff, providing direction and performance oversight.

  • Monitor project financials, including job cost tracking, forecasting, reporting, and monthly billing applications.

  • Approve major procurement decisions and construction methodologies prior to implementation.

  • Conduct regular site visits to assess progress, address issues proactively, and maintain alignment with stakeholders.

  • Ensure all installation work meets applicable codes, engineering standards, and client specifications.

  • Oversee project closeout activities including documentation, inspections, and final deliverables.

  • Support workforce development initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts.

Key Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or related field preferred; equivalent field leadership experience considered.

  • Minimum 6 years of project leadership experience managing complex electrical or renewable energy construction projects valued in the multi-million-dollar range.

  • Demonstrated success managing budgets, schedules, subcontractors, and cross-functional teams.

  • Strong understanding of electrical systems, construction methods, and safety standards.

  • Experience with contract review, cost control, and financial reporting.

  • Proficiency in project management software and general computer applications.

  • Excellent communication, leadership, and organizational skills.

  • Ability to travel regularly to job sites as required.

Why Apply?
This role offers the opportunity to lead impactful renewable energy projects that shape sustainable infrastructure. You will oversee high-value solar installations while collaborating with skilled professionals in a safety-focused, performance-driven environment. Competitive compensation, comprehensive benefits, and career growth opportunities make this an excellent next step for experienced construction leaders.
