Job description

The AV Operations & Technical Project Manager is responsible for leading the audiovisual installation team from project kickoff through completion. This role oversees project planning, team assignments, site walkthroughs, technical support, client communication, estimating, and programming coordination to ensure successful AV system installations and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
* Lead project scope-of-work (SOW) kickoff meetings with internal teams and clients
* Review project requirements, timelines, and installation expectations (Khai and I review)
* Assign technicians and installation teams based on project needs and scheduling
* Conduct on-site walkthroughs before, during, and after installations. Including out of town projects ie Tampa Orlando (over night - leading projects onsite while maintaining daily duties)
* Serve as the primary technical resource for all AV installation-related questions
* Troubleshoot with onsite installation, equipment integration, and installation challenges
* Coordinate service calls
* Submit permitting
* Prepare project estimates, labor projections, and material recommendations (when quoting)
* Coordinate and lead programming calls with clients, programmers, and vendors
* Ensure systems are installed according to design specifications and company standards
* Collaborate with sales, engineering, programming, and field teams throughout project execution (Khai and I both perform this task)
* Maintain clear communication with project manager regarding project updates, technical requirements, and scheduling (invoicing next steps etc)
* Verify project completion, quality control, and client satisfaction before closeout
* Support process improvement initiatives and operational efficiency within the AV department
• Attend necessary subcontractor meetings (onsite and virtual)
Qualifications
* Strong knowledge of commercial AV systems, including audio, video, control, networking, and conferencing technologies
* Experience managing AV installation projects, field teams, programmers, engineers and other trades.
* Ability to read and interpret AV drawings, scopes of work, and construction drawings
* Excellent troubleshooting and technical problem-solving skills
* Experience preparing estimates and coordinating project logistics
* Strong communication and client management abilities
* Familiarity with AV programming coordination and commissioning processes
* Proficiency with project management
• Knowledge of Asana and NetSuite preferred
• Experience with Autodesk, procore, building connected etc is a plus
* CTS certification (which ones do they need)
