General Job Description:  The Technical Sales Representative serves as a key liaison between customers, the sales team, engineering, and manufacturing teams to ensure successful delivery of technical solutions and projects involving the Fibrelite product line of composite trench and manhole covers. This role combines technical expertise with project management and customer engagement, supporting both pre-sale and post-sale activities. The ideal candidate with be highly organized, client-driven, and capable of managing multiple projects while delivering exceptional technical support.

 

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Mechanical, Composite, or related Engineering field preferred.
  • Minimum of 2 years of engineering sales experience.
  • Familiarity with composite manufacturing and techniques a plus.
  • Involvement and knowledge of Data Center construction a plus.
  • Superior organization skills and ability to manage mutliple projects
  • Experience with ACAD, Revit, Solidworks or other drafting software.
  • Proficiency with MS Outlook, MS Excel, MS Word, and Power BI.
  • Valid drivers’ license and maintenance of satisfactory driving record
  • Strong oral communications and technical writing skills
  • Demonstrative Conflict resolution and customer service skills
  • Live within 6 hours of Smithville, NC and willingness to travel as needed domestically and occasionally to the UK.

 

Responsibilities:

  • Collaborate with clients both remotely and in person to determine their specific technical requirements.
  • Interface with OPW Fibrelite’s design engineering team to support technical requirements.
  • Support customers by visiting job sites for technical support, photographs, or “as built dimensions” for ongoing or prospective orders.
  • Assist in development, planning, and updating of overall project schedules as required.
  • Attend/direct regular scheduled meetings
  • Collaborate with OPW’s manufacturing team to expedite material deliveries according to project schedule requirements.
  • Prepare and provide product demonstrations to display Fibrelite C & I product capabilities at customer locations, on jobsites, or in OPW’s manufacturing facility.
  • Provide after sales support, including training customers on product use and troubleshooting technical issues.
  • Identify process improvements and contribute ideas that make the team more efficient.
  • Attend industry trade shows and events, as necessary.

Pay Range: $90,000.00 - $140,000.00
