Overview

Responsible for the overall direction, coordination, implementation, execution, control and completion of specific projects ensuring consistency with company strategy, commitments and goals.  Applies appropriate project management methodologies in the development and implementation of project plans, risk mitigation plans, change requests, communication plans and other key project artifacts.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assembles and leads project teams to define clear project goals, objectives, requirements, deliverables and measures of success.
  • Provides complete documentation and assures agreement and support from project sponsors and Executive Management.
  • Facilitates thorough and accurate analysis of current business practices and demonstrates a clear understanding of the business areas’ objectives and long-term strategies.
  • Establishes schedules of project milestones and project expenditures; develops, maintains and executes detailed project and resource plans to successfully deliver on milestones within planned project investment.
  • Informs and partners with Project Sponsor to identify and monitor project status, costs and other identified project items.
  • Identifies and documents project related risks and mitigation strategies; appropriately escalates to Senior and Executive Management.
  • May provide consultation for improved business processes, new technology opportunities or other projects that may impact their area.
  • Analyze potential software alternatives and recommend solutions that best reflect the business area’s priorities and JFG’s technical infrastructure requirements.
  • Effectively manage vendor relationships throughout project execution

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree preferred; experience in project management may be considered in lieu of a degree.
  • Knowledge of project management techniques and tools.
  • Knowledge of financial services processes, products and systems preferred.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and projects, meet deadlines and maintain quality.
  • Experience in strategic planning, risk management, change management and people management preferred.
