We are now looking for a Project Engineer to develop and deliver end-to-end manufacturing solutions from concept through industrialisation. In this role, you will combine machining expertise, digital engineering tools, project leadership, and customer collaboration to define practical technical approaches, implement robust solutions, and create measurable value for customers and partners.

Job Summary:
As Project Engineer, you will lead technical projects from concept through implementation, ensuring delivery to agreed scope, quality, timelines, cost, and customer expectations. You will analyse manufacturing processes, define machining and tooling strategies, use CAD/CAM and simulation software to optimise solutions, and coordinate customers, sales teams, technical partners, and internal specialists. You will also support proposals, validation, reporting, project governance, and continuous improvement while representing Seco as a trusted technical partner.

This role reports to the Regional Innovation Hub Manager

Key responsibilities of the role:

Technical & Project Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end manufacturing projects from concept to implementation, delivering quality solutions on time and within scope.
  • Turn customer needs into practical machining, tooling, and execution strategies.
  • Use CAD/CAM and simulation tools to optimise processes, proposals, validation, and project documentation.

Technical Leadership

  • Shape high-performing cutting-tool applications and machining strategies.
  • Provide technical direction on tool design, programming, process optimisation, and digital solution validation.

Team Management

  • Bring together sales, engineering, customer support, and technical specialists to achieve shared project goals.
  • Coach colleagues and share expertise to strengthen team capability and delivery.

Customer Engagement

  • Build trusted customer relationships and shape solutions that create clear business value.
  • Partner with sales throughout consultation, implementation, and troubleshooting.
  • Lead customer discussions and develop tailored tooling and machining solutions.

Qualification and Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in engineering, manufacturing, mechanical engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent relevant industry experience.
  • 5-7 years of experience in production or mechanical engineering, technical application support, industrial sales, or customer-facing project delivery, preferably in metal cutting or manufacturing services.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical projects, defining machining or tooling methodology, and delivering solutions from concept through implementation.
  • Experience with value-based or consultative selling, process development, CAD/CAM programming, CRM systems, and Microsoft Office tools.
  • Fluent English and willingness to travel domestically and internationally; a valid passport is required. Agile project management and Lean Six Sigma qualifications are advantageous.
