Job description

Company Overview
Docusign brings agreements to life. Over 1.5 million customers and more than a billion people in over 180 countries use Docusign solutions to accelerate the process of doing business and simplify people's lives. With intelligent agreement management, Docusign unleashes business-critical data that is trapped inside of documents. Until now, these were disconnected from business systems of record, costing businesses time, money, and opportunity. Using Docusign's Intelligent Agreement Management platform, companies can create, commit, and manage agreements with solutions created by the #1 company in e-signature and contract lifecycle management (CLM).
What you'll do
The Lead Technical Program Manager will lead and motivate our teams by introducing efficient processes, driving innovative and measurable solutions to maximize efficiency for team members, while working in unison with product development teams to create the best experiences for our customers.
In this role, you will function as the central program leader responsible for driving the successful execution of complex, cross-functional technical programs that span multiple engineering teams, product areas, and go-to-market functions. You will own the integrated program schedule, manage the intricate web of cross-functional dependencies, and ensure end-to-end system readiness from inception through GA launch. You bring the technical depth to dive into specific engineering or product issues when needed, driving them to closure to unblock the program.
This role will be responsible for managing programs of large scope, impact, and complexity through all phases of the life cycle. Duties and tasks are varied and complex, needing independent judgment, so the person needs to be fully competent in the area of Technical Program Management expertise.
This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Sr. Director, Program Management.
Responsibility
  • Partner with Product and Engineering teams across multiple pillars on defining roadmaps, aligning on timelines, and overseeing resource allocation
  • Serve as the central point of contact for cross-pillar program coordination, requiring frequent and strategic engagement with Pillar TPMs, Engineering Managers, and Product leads
  • Define the end-to-end program structure; identify all participating pillars and teams, and meticulously map cross-functional dependencies
  • Own the master integrated program schedule, incorporating milestones from all contributing teams and maintaining a consolidated view of the delivery timeline
  • Manage risk proactively, look around the corner and anticipate critical path slips early, surfacing options to mitigate risks
  • Drive completion of programs on schedule and within budget constraints
  • Partner with GTM teams to define launch plans, identify and mitigate gaps, risks, and dependencies across all pillars
  • Plan, track, and monitor work of cross-functional teams including but not limited to Product Management, Engineering, Compliance, Technical Operations, Legal, Marketing, Field Enablement, Customer Enablement, and Sales, providing technical support and direction
  • Utilize technical depth to actively participate in solution discussions, assess technical trade-offs, and dive deep into specific technical issues to drive closure and unblock the program
  • Communicate proactively on project status, schedules, dependencies, issues, and risks across teams and to stakeholders, including senior and executive management
  • Engage Security, Legal, and Compliance teams early to ensure all program deliverables meet Docusign's standards
  • Establish governance across projects with structure on tracking and reporting; build KPIs and metrics to communicate progress
  • Evaluate existing processes and procedures; make recommendations and drive process improvement and adoption of best practices to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Conduct change management efforts of moderate to high complexity, impacting one or multiple cross-functional processes across pillars
  • Lead program retrospectives to capture lessons learned, document best practices, and drive continuous improvement in Docusign's development process
  • Mentor and coach Pillar TPMs and junior TPgMs; share frameworks, tools, and learnings to elevate the broader TPgM function
  • Serve as a thought partner to Engineering and Product leadership on execution strategy and organizational effectiveness
  • Manage programs across disciplines and geographies
