Position Summary...What you'll do...
We are seeking a Principal Technical Program Manager to join our Decision Sciences team. In this role, you will lead complex, enterprise-scale programs that strengthen Walmart’s data foundations across core business domains, enabling scalable, high-quality decision-making across the enterprise. 
You will operate across business, product, engineering, and data science teams to drive alignment, ensure technical rigor, and deliver measurable improvements in decision quality. This role requires both strategic influence and deep technical engagement, with a focus on improving data maturity, domain ownership, and platform capabilities. 
You will guide discussions across data architecture, distributed data platforms, governance models, and AI-enabled decision systems, ensuring solutions are scalable, interoperable, and grounded in trusted data. 
As a senior member of the Tech Programs leadership team, you will elevate program management standards, mentor TPMs, and establish durable operating mechanisms that enable execution across a highly matrixed organization. 
What you'll do... 
Own strategy, planning, and execution for enterprise data foundation and maturity programs spanning multiple domains. 
Partner with engineering, data platform, and product leadership to influence long-term data architecture and platform roadmaps. 
Drive executive-level program reviews with clear articulation of data risks, trade-offs, and measurable decision impact. 
Implement metrics-driven program management using OKRs, KPIs, and operational telemetry. 
Identify and mitigate cross-team dependencies related to data fragmentation and ownership gaps. 
Establish scalable operating rhythms and federated governance models. 
Drive adoption of domain-oriented data products and standardized definitions. 
Stay current on advancements in data platforms and AI/ML. 
What you'll bring... 
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (Master’s preferred). 
8+ years of experience in technical program management or related roles. 
Experience influencing executive stakeholders. 
Deep understanding of distributed data architectures and analytics ecosystems. 
Experience with data governance or data platforms. 
Preferred Qualifications... 
Experience in ambiguous environments solving complex data challenges. 
Strong technical judgment across data architecture decisions. 
Experience with large-scale data pipelines or AI/ML systems.
