Job Description
We are seeking a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead the end-to-end delivery of global Point-of-Sale (POS) platform initiatives, from strategy and solution planning through engineering execution, deployment, and operational readiness. This role will partner closely with Engineering, Product, Architecture, Infrastructure, Security, Payments, and Retail Operations to deliver scalable, secure, and reliable POS capabilities across global markets.
The ideal candidate has extensive experience delivering enterprise retail technology platforms, understands modern distributed systems and payment ecosystems, and can effectively lead large, cross-functional technical programs with multiple dependencies.
Key Responsibilities
  • Own end-to-end delivery of global POS modernization initiatives from planning through production deployment and post-launch stabilization.
  • Partner with Product Management and Engineering to define program scope, technical roadmap, milestones, and delivery strategy.
  • Drive alignment across Architecture, Engineering, Security, Infrastructure, QA, Operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Lead technical program planning including dependency management, release sequencing, and implementation readiness.
  • Coordinate API integrations, payment services, hardware integration, cloud services, and enterprise platform dependencies.
  • Identify technical risks, architectural constraints, scalability concerns, and mitigation strategies.
  • Drive governance across multiple engineering teams while removing delivery blockers.
  • Oversee global deployment planning, cutover activities, production readiness reviews, and hypercare support.
  • Monitor program health using engineering and delivery metrics including velocity, release quality, reliability, and operational KPIs.
  • Ensure alignment with security, compliance, PCI, and operational standards.
  • Manage vendor and implementation partner engagement where applicable.
Required Qualifications
  • 8+ years leading complex technical programs.
  • Experience delivering enterprise POS, retail, or omnichannel commerce platforms.
  • Strong understanding of distributed systems, APIs, cloud platforms, integrations, and payment ecosystems.
  • Experience working directly with engineering and architecture teams throughout the SDLC.
  • Demonstrated success leading global technical implementations from concept through production.
  • Strong executive communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience with Agile and hybrid software delivery models.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Global POS deployment experience.
  • Knowledge of PCI DSS, payment processing, and retail operations.
  • Experience with Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.
  • PMP, PgMP, Scrum, or SAFe certification.
