Job Overview:
Harbinger is seeking an energetic and experienced Technical Program Manager to join our Program Management Office. In this role, you will work with a highly innovative team developing a cutting-edge electric stripped chassis for the medium-duty truck market. Reporting to the Director of Engineering Programs, you will coordinate, manage, and communicate the status of engineering programs across our organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Management:
    • Own one or more major subsystems, projects and/or programs at Harbinger.
    • Develop and maintain project plans to launch product improvements.
    • Collaborate with engineering teams and cross-functional partners to meet milestones and balance competing priorities.
    • Drive projects to successful completion by guiding and supporting engineering teams while demonstrating a strong sense of urgency.
    • Understand the critical path(s) for assigned areas; identify, report and resolve roadblocks

Cross-Functional Coordination:
    • Work closely with Engineering, Supply Chain, Quality and Manufacturing teams to ensure timely parts release, ordering, delivery and implementation.
    • Proactively identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to address part shortages or delays.

Engineering Process Support:
    • Partner with engineers to implement robust processes, including Design Reviews, DFMEA, CAE and DVPRs.
    • Lead weekly Product Development Team (PDT) meetings with internal stakeholders.
    • Support external (supplier) meetings as needed to address issues and risks.

Issue Resolution:
    • Drive resolution of engineering concerns, ensuring thorough Root Cause Analysis and the implementation of both short-term and permanent corrective actions.

Change Management:
    • Drive the execution of product improvement initiatives (including: cost reduction, durability, serviceability, etc.)
    • Oversee the change control process, collaborating with materials planning and manufacturing teams to manage new revision effectivity efficiently.

Resource Planning
    • Support Finance and Engineering in budget forecasting and management
    • Identify and escalate resource constraints to meet deliverables

Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • Bachelor's Degree (or higher) in an engineering discipline.
  • Experience:
    • Minimum of 3-5 years in a technical or management role within a technical sector (automotive experience is a plus).
    • Startup experience is advantageous.
  • Technical Skills:
    • Proficiency in Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, Slides).
    • Experience with SmartSheets or MS Project.
    • Familiarity with Atlassian Jira is a plus.
    • CAD experience is a plus.
  • Domain Knowledge (one or more would be a plus):
    • Vehicle hardware integration and packaging
    • Change management
    • Electrical system design and harnessing layout

    • Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS)
