Performance Contracting is seeking an experienced Project Engineer for its PCI Salt Lake City operations based in Salt Lake City, UT.ย 

Job responsibilities include:

  • Perform labor control on assigned projects, including setup and maintenance
  • Prepare RFIโ€™s and submittals
  • Quantitative takeoffs to verify estimates, order materials, and price change orders
  • Create and implement job schedules and coordinate with field supervisors and foremen
  • Create and manage punch lists and job closeout documentation
  • Support the Quality Control measures outlined in the QA/QC program
  • Assist in other duties as assigned

This position is safety-sensitive.

Basic Requirements

  • Must have at least 2 yearsโ€™ experience supporting or managing construction projects
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite products (e.g., Excel, Word, etc.)
  • Possess a clear understanding of how to read and interpret specifications and drawings
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment
  • Ability to learn new skills by engaging in the technical job functions and applying new skills as they're learned
  • Strong customer service skills and relationship-building abilities
  • Ability to prioritize and multitask while handling multiple projects concurrently
  • Motivated self-starter with strong work ethic and a willingness to take initiative
  • Works well under pressure and deadlines
  • Possess critical-thinking and problem-solving skills

Preferred Requirements

  • Bachelorโ€™s degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, or related discipline preferred
  • Experience managing specialty scopes of construction
  • OSHA certification
  • Local to Salt Lake City, UT area preferred
