Job description

Title: Technical Product Manager
Reporting to: Senior Director, Product Management
Location: Denver, CO
Employee Category: Salary, Exempt
POSITION DESCRIPTION:
As a Technical Product Manager, you sit at the intersection of product strategy and system design, working within our portfolio of luxury travel products that spans member-facing web and mobile applications, internal tools for concierge and ambassador teams, and partner-facing platforms. You will own platform and product domains that require genuine technical depth-APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and infrastructure-adjacent features. The scope of this role may evolve over time as the company and team grow.
Our Engineering team is AI-forward by culture and conviction-we build with AI and use AI to build, including Claude as a core part of our workflow. We expect our TPM to lead from the front on both. This is not a project manager with a PM title; this role requires genuine technical fluency and a track record of shaping product and architecture together.
ESSENTIAL JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
  • Own the strategy, roadmap, and backlog-tracked in Jira-for platform and product domains requiring deep technical engagement: APIs, integrations, data pipelines, and infrastructure-adjacent features
  • Collaborate with engineering leads on system design and architecture decisions; understand tradeoffs and advocate for solutions that balance speed, scalability, and maintainability
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business requirements-and vice versa-bridging engineering and non-technical stakeholders seamlessly
  • Define and track technical success metrics: performance benchmarks, uptime and reliability goals, API response times, and data quality indicators
  • Lead discovery on technical product areas: identify integration gaps, platform limitations, and opportunities for automation or AI-assisted workflows powered by tools like Claude
  • Evaluate third-party tools, APIs, and AI/ML capabilities; build the business case and manage vendor integration from requirements through launch
  • Work with design (Figma) and engineering to ensure instrumentation is clean; use behavioral data from Clarity and FullStory to validate technical product decisions
  • Communicate technical risks, architectural decisions, and dependencies clearly to leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
  • Know when to say "not now" versus "no"-you are not done when you find a solution
  • Other duties as assigned.

EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND EXPERIENCE:
  • 4-7 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a technical PM or engineering-adjacent role
  • Demonstrable technical fluency: you can read code, write SQL, understand REST/GraphQL APIs, and hold your own in an architecture discussion
  • Experience owning platform, API, or data products-not just consumer features
  • Proficiency with Jira for backlog and sprint management; experienced with agile ceremonies and iterative delivery in an engineering-led environment
  • Hands-on experience with behavioral analytics tools (Clarity, FullStory) and comfort building your own queries to answer product questions
  • Experience working in Figma alongside design teams-able to review and contribute to specs, flows, and prototypes
  • Proven ability to evaluate and integrate AI capabilities into product workflows; hands-on experience with tools like Claude or other LLM APIs is a strong plus
  • Experience with cloud infrastructure concepts (AWS, GCP, or Azure) sufficient to understand cost, scale, and reliability implications of product decisions
  • High EQ and servant leader orientation-you unblock engineers, not create process for them
  • Understands MVP concepts and can deliver value quickly without sacrificing platform integrity
  • BA/BS in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field preferred; commensurate experience considered

Compensation - $110,000-$125,000
We believe in building a compensation structure that reflects the comparable market pay rate for positions at companies similar in size, revenue generation and geographic location; in addition to individual factors including seniority, performance-based merit, education/training, and experience related to scope of responsibilities.
Paid Time Off: Accrues each pay period, totaling 15 days annually, plus 11 paid holidays.
Core Benefits: Comprehensive medical, dental, vision, life/AD&D, and disability coverage.
HSA/FSA/Commuter Benefits: Pre-tax savings and spending plans, including employer HSA contributions.
FAM Trip: After one year of employment, eligible for one three-to-four-night stay per calendar year in an Inspirato property, subject to availability and program terms.
