Job description

McCarthy's Mechanical, Electrical, Plumbing Team is seeking an Intern to join our team for Summer 2027. McCarthy's Intern Advantage program is a competitive hands-on opportunity to gain real-life experience and learn what a career in the industry is all about! During the internship, tasks are assigned to help the intern gain exposure to the MEP process and apply her/his mechanical, construction and engineering skills to real world applications.
McCarthy Intern Advantage-Real Experience. Real Results.
The MEP Internship role is involved in supporting mechanical, electrical, plumbing, controls, and low-voltage systems at a designated jobsite or project location. During the internship, students will have the opportunity to be exposed to complex building systems, understand the importance of effectively managing specialty MEP trades, and will have the opportunity to be assigned to larger, more complex projects that require dedicated attention to MEP. This is a rewarding career path that allows individuals to build technical expertise in an area pertinent to all buildings.
Intern duties are dependent on education and skill level.
Position Qualifications:
  • Must be currently enrolled and working towards a Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering other related discipline.
  • Strong interpersonal skills are required.
  • General familiarity with construction concepts, practices and procedures is required.
  • Enjoys collaboration and working with others to solve complex problems.
