Export Control Requirement:
Due to applicable export control laws and regulations, candidates must be a U.S. citizen or national, U.S. permanent resident (i.e., current Green Card holder), or lawfully admitted into the U.S. as a refugee or granted asylum.
To support Amazon LEO, the Ground Infrastructure Services Physical Security team is seeking a Physical Security Technical Infrastructure Program Manager (TIPM) to drive the deployment of physical security systems across Amazon LEO's expanding ground terminal network. This role focuses on pioneering new technologies, continuously improving deployment models for ground terminal launches, managing data center and colocation requirements with emphasis on physical infrastructure and physical security components.
As TIPM, you will bridge the LEO Security, Networking, and Engineering teams with Ground Infrastructure Services, ensuring seamless integration of physical security solutions. You'll collaborate with Infrastructure Operations teams to develop innovative solutions that enhance site safety, security, and operational efficiency, directly impacting the security posture and operational excellence of our global ground infrastructure.
Key job responsibilities
* Security Deployment & Launch: Own the end-to-end strategy and execution for deploying physical security technologies and process automation across LEO ground infrastructure.
* Global Deployment Strategy: Define and drive the global strategy for physical security systems, aligning cross-functional teams to deliver scalable, repeatable deployment models across diverse geographies and regulatory environments.
* Vendor & Stakeholder Collaboration: Influence and align Security, Engineering, Operations, and external vendors to deliver integrated security solutions; negotiate priorities, resolve competing requirements, and drive accountability across organizations.
* Metrics & Data-Driven Decision Making: Establish program metrics that quantify effectiveness and operational efficiency; leverage data to drive prioritization, trade-off decisions, and reporting.
* Program Management: Manage complex, cross-functional programs with interdependencies across multiple teams and geographies; proactively identify and mitigate risks, unblock teams, and escalate effectively to maintain delivery speed.
* Technical Design Evaluation: Evaluate physical security system designs for deployment; identify technical design gaps and provide actionable feedback to engineering teams to improve scalability, reliability, and automation readiness.
* Continuous Improvement: Drive process improvement initiatives that streamline deployment workflows, eliminate redundant steps, and create predictable, repeatable process.
* Standard Operating Procedures: Document and standardize processes for vendor sourcing, system integration, and hardware configuration, creating scalable playbooks.

BASIC QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a technology field
- Technical designs, scoping, scheduling, budgeting, quality, risk management, vendor management, regulatory compliance, and stakeholder communication.
- Experience with security design, installation, maintenance of physical security requirements for data centers and colocated server racks.
- Experience in large-scale IT and networking deployment, including integration of physical security systems with network infrastructure.
- Experience defining program strategy, and organizational planning.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and align cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- Experience establishing metrics and using data to drive prioritization and executive-level decision making.
- Demonstrated experience driving process improvement that reduced deployment cycle time or improved operational efficiency.
- Travel 25% or more.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- 5+ years of program management or technical project management experience
- 8+ years of experience managing large-scale, technical deployment of physical security systems including Physical Access Control, Intrusion Detection, Alarms, Video Surveillance, Visitor Management, and connecting systems to a Security Operations Center.
- Lean Six Sigma Green/Black Belt certification with demonstrated application to infrastructure deployment processes.
- Experience with physical security deployments in telecommunications, satellite, or critical infrastructure environments.
- Experience with infrastructure deployment automation tools or security system integration platforms.

The base salary range for this position is listed below. Your Amazon package will include sign-on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
