Summary of Position

The Staff Technical Program Manager (TPM) resides within the Product and Technology organization and drives the end-to-end delivery of complex, cross-functional technical programs and strategic initiatives. This role requires deep technical expertise, strategic thinking, and the ability to influence outcomes across a highly matrixed organization. Working closely with Product Management, Engineering, Quality, Regulatory, and Operations teams, this leader drives alignment, mitigates risk, and delivers measurable business outcomes.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Lead complex technical programs spanning web, mobile, medical device, embedded software, firmware, and data platforms.

  • Drive end-to-end program execution from initiation through launch, ensuring stakeholder alignment across all milestones.

  • Coordinate cross-functional teams across Product, Engineering, Design, Quality, Regulatory, Supply Chain, Manufacturing, and Operations.

  • Manage technical dependencies, risks, issues, and mitigation plans across multiple concurrent workstreams.

  • Facilitate technical discussions regarding architecture decisions, systems integration, platform scalability, and design tradeoffs.

  • Partner with senior engineers and architects to align program execution with technical roadmap objectives and platform evolution.

  • Develop and maintain program dashboards, status reports, key performance indicators, and executive communications.

  • Apply Lean, Agile, Scrum, Kanban, and continuous improvement methodologies to deliver predictable outcomes.

  • Leverage AI-powered tools and automation to improve program reporting, risk identification, dashboard creation, and operational efficiency.

  • Establish and track program success metrics, ensuring measurable outcomes and transparent progress reporting.

  • Drive stakeholder communication, influence decision-making, and resolve blockers through collaboration and negotiation.

  • Conduct post-launch reviews and implement lessons learned to continuously improve delivery processes.

  • Mentor and develop junior Technical Program Managers, providing coaching on risk management, systems thinking, and program leadership.

  • Shape organizational processes and operating models while serving as a thought leader for the TPM function.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field; or equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.

  • 8+ years of experience Technical Program Management.

  • Experience managing programs within healthcare technology, health and life sciences, medical devices, or other regulated industries.

  • Demonstrated experience owning complex, cross-functional technical programs with measurable business outcomes.

  • Strong understanding of software development lifecycle, cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP), APIs, CI/CD, DevOps, system integration, and security principles.

  • Experience using program management and collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, Airtable, or similar platforms.

  • Proven ability to identify, manage, and mitigate program risks while balancing scope, schedule, cost, and quality.

  • Experience leveraging AI and automation tools to improve program management processes, reporting, and operational efficiency.

  • Strong communication, stakeholder management, and influence skills with the ability to work effectively across all organizational levels.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience leading hardware, firmware, and regulated medical device development programs from concept through launch.

  • Familiarity with Product Development Lifecycle (PDLC) methodologies.

  • Experience supporting consumer mobile platforms (iOS and/or Android).

  • Knowledge of AI/ML technologies, responsible AI principles, model governance, and compliance considerations.

  • Experience with reporting and visualization tools such as Power BI, Tableau, or equivalent platforms.

  • Lean, Agile, or Scrum certifications including Certified ScrumMaster (CSM), Certified Scrum Product Owner (CSPO), SAFe Agilist (SA), Scrum Master (SSM), POPM, or equivalent certification.

  • Experience mentoring Technical Program Managers and leading TPM best practice initiatives.

  • Demonstrated expertise in enterprise systems architecture and large-scale platform integrations.

  • Experience driving organizational process improvements and operating model transformations.

The base salary range for this position is$180,000- $200,000In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for performance bonus, RSU's, and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here:Teladoc Health Benefits 2026Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-timepositions. Thisinformation is applicable for all full-time positions.

We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
