We are seeking an experienced Senior IT Project Manager to lead and manage complex technology initiatives across multiple business and technical workstreams. This role is responsible for overseeing projects from concept through implementation, including business case development, procurement activities, contract management, vendor oversight, financial planning, and project execution.

The Senior IT Project Manager serves as a key liaison between business stakeholders, technical teams, vendors, and executive leadership to ensure projects are delivered on time, within scope, and aligned with organizational objectives. This position requires strong leadership, communication, risk management, and stakeholder engagement skills, along with extensive experience managing enterprise-level technology projects.

Key ResponsibilitiesProject Leadership & Delivery
  • Manage multiple concurrent IT projects and initiatives from inception through completion.
  • Develop and maintain project plans, schedules, budgets, deliverables, and resource allocations.
  • Lead cross-functional teams through solution design, development, testing, implementation, and deployment activities.
  • Monitor project progress and ensure adherence to established project management methodologies, standards, and governance practices.
  • Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks, issues, dependencies, and change requests.
  • Facilitate conflict resolution and drive consensus among diverse stakeholder groups.
Business Analysis & Strategic Planning
  • Collaborate with business and technical leaders to understand organizational needs and document business cases for technology initiatives.
  • Prepare project proposals and other supporting documentation required to initiate and fund projects.
  • Translate complex technical concepts into clear business language for non-technical stakeholders.
  • Support strategic planning and prioritization efforts for enterprise technology initiatives.
Procurement & Vendor Management
  • Develop and manage Requests for Proposals (RFPs), Requests for Quotes (RFQs), Statements of Work (SOWs), and related procurement documentation.
  • Lead vendor evaluation processes, including proposal reviews, scoring, interviews, and recommendations.
  • Participate in contract negotiations and oversee vendor performance throughout project lifecycles.
  • Ensure vendor deliverables meet contractual obligations, quality standards, and project requirements.
Governance, Reporting & Documentation
  • Establish and maintain project governance structures, documentation repositories, and reporting mechanisms.
  • Prepare and distribute project status reports highlighting accomplishments, milestones, risks, issues, and mitigation strategies.
  • Maintain project documentation, including process flows, data flow diagrams, system documentation, project narratives, and implementation plans.
  • Implement change management controls and ensure project scope is effectively managed.
Resource & Stakeholder Management
  • Coordinate resources across business, technical, quality assurance, and support teams.
  • Work within matrixed organizational structures to align resource availability with project priorities.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with business leaders, technical teams, vendors, and executive stakeholders.
  • Facilitate meetings, presentations, workshops, and decision-making sessions.
Required Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Business Administration, Computer Science, or a related field; equivalent professional experience may be considered.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience managing complex IT projects in a large enterprise environment.
  • Minimum of five (5) years of experience utilizing Agile, Waterfall, and hybrid project management methodologies.
  • Demonstrated experience with business case development, contract management, procurement processes, RFPs, RFQs, and project funding requests.
  • Proven experience managing vendor relationships and third-party service providers.
  • Strong understanding of project governance, risk management, and change management practices.
  • Experience managing cross-functional teams within matrixed organizations.
