Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Principal Technical Consultant with expertise in wastewater treatment plant design and engineering. This senior-level role combines advanced technical consulting, project leadership, and subject matter expertise to deliver cutting-edge solutions for our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in biosolids treatment train design, alternative project delivery, and construction management, as well as the ability to provide strategic advice and technical leadership across multidisciplinary teams.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Serve as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) in wastewater treatment plant design, including biosolids treatment train design, odor control, and related systems.
  • Lead or consult on the execution of advanced solution strategies, ensuring innovative and effective outcomes for clients.
  • Provide technical expertise and consulting services to resolve complex engineering challenges, removing impediments and delivering solutions that meet or exceed customer requirements.
  • Collaborate with company leadership, project managers, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver professional technical services and solutions.
  • Oversee the preparation of bid documents, detailed designs, and specifications for wastewater treatment projects.
  • Provide startup and commissioning services, as well as construction management, to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Maximize customer operational performance by providing resources, technical advice, and innovative solutions.
  • Resolve escalated technical problems and follow through to closure, ensuring client satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, regulations, and best practices to maintain technical excellence.
  • Establish and maintain professional relationships with clients, subcontractors, and other stakeholders.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to drive continuous improvement in quality, service, and operational efficiency.
  • Perform other responsibilities as required to support the success of the organization and its clients.

Skills and Competencies:
  • Technical Expertise: Advanced knowledge of wastewater treatment plant design, biosolids treatment, odor control, and related systems.
