Job description

EHR/EMR Trainer
This position works under the direction of the Workflow Manager. He/She will facilitate in-person classroom training, deployment and support of EHR applications for providers and front and back-office staff. This position is also responsible for providing day-to-day customer-focused first-level application and technical support as well as second-level support to internal system users at the Central Business Office and remote clinics.
Primary Job Duties:
  • Deliver orientation, pre-live onboarding and post-live training to physicians, providers and office staff on the PMGNTX Best Practice processes and EHR Software
  • Respond to, and diagnose, problems through discussions with users, including problem recognition, research isolation, resolution and follow-up steps.
  • Participate in major upgrades, updates, and testing as needed
  • Participate in projects as needed
  • Provide day to day customer support to providers, remote office users and internal users

Minimum Qualifications:
  • Three years' clinical experience working as a Medical Assistant, lead Medical Assistant experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of ambulatory practice workflows as well as extended medical terminology.
  • Experience with NextGen Enterprise a plus.
  • Strong interpersonal skills to interact positively and productively with a variety of personnel .
  • Training experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work in a very fast-paced and changing work environment..
  • Must comply with HIPAA rules and regulations.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Must have reliable transportation and be willing to travel to clinics in North Texas.
  • Must be able to be on their feet for up to 8 hours at a time.
  • Must be punctual and able to adapt to varying schedules as needed.
