Job description

We are seeking an organized, detail-oriented Assistant Video Editor to join our growing in-house production team and help us shape the visual voice of our brand. The Assistant Video Editor will support our post-production team by organizing footage, creating selects and rough cuts, and prepping timelines for final delivery. You will work closely with lead editors and social media managers to maintain a seamless post-production workflow. This role is highly collaborative and requires a sharp eye for pacing, beauty aesthetics, and shifting digital trends.
Key Responsibilities
  • Footage and Asset Management: Ingest, sync, and organize raw footage, synchronize audio, generate proxies, and manage post-production assets across our storage systems.
  • Assembly and Rough Cuts: Build initial sequences, rough cuts, and assembly edits for various marketing campaigns, product launches, and social media channels.
  • Multi-Platform Formatting: Reformat and optimize master edits for various platform specifications, including TikTok, Instagram Reels, YouTube, and digital ads.
  • Project Delivery Prep: Prepare final project files, clean timelines, organize assets, and export deliverables for color grading, sound design, and localization.
  • Collaboration: Work alongside creative directors and lead editors to apply feedback systematically and maintain a consistent brand aesthetic.

Requirements
  • 1-2 years of hands-on video editing or post-production experience (internships and freelance work welcome)
  • Software Mastery: Deep working knowledge of Adobe Premiere Pro, including project organization, proxy workflows, and efficient shortcut-driven editing.
  • Technical Knowledge: Deep understanding of video codecs, file formats, frame rates, aspect ratios, and post-production workflows.
  • Attention to Detail: Excellent organizational skills with project directories, naming conventions, and version control.
  • Aesthetic Sensitivity: A strong visual eye for color, makeup application, skin tones, and overall beauty trends.
  • Time Management: Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple projects simultaneously, and meet tight deadlines.
  • In office 3 days per week (Mar Vista/Los Angeles, CA)

Preferred Experience
  • Familiarity with other Adobe Creative Cloud applications, specifically After Effects.
  • Basic understanding of color correction and audio mixing.
  • Prior experience editing content for retail, fashion, lifestyle, or cosmetics brands is highly desirable.

For full-time employees, Anastasia Beverly Hills offers a competitive compensation package with full benefits and a 401(K) plan with matching contributions from the company. The starting base salary range for this position in the selected city is $30.00-$35.00 hourly. Compensation may vary outside of this range depending on several factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, and geographical location. Base pay is one part of the total compensation package that is provided to compensate and recognize employees for their work. This role is bonus eligible.
