About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented Substation Drafter to join our engineering team and support electrical utility projects. In this role, you will create, revise, and maintain accurate substation drawings using MicroStation and AutoCAD, working closely with engineers and project teams to deliver high-quality design documentation.  The ideal candidate has experience drafting for electrical or utility projects, strong attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset.

Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare and revise electrical drawings, including physical layouts, schematics, wiring diagrams, and as-built documentation, in accordance with project and client standards.
  • Utilize MicroStation and AutoCAD to produce precise 2D and 3D drawings.
  • Review and interpret engineering specifications, markups, and field data.
  • Ensure all drawings comply with company drafting standards, project requirements, and client specifications.
  • Coordinate with engineers and project teams to resolve design questions and deliver accurate documentation on schedule.
  • Maintain organized drawing files, revisions, and documentation throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Support QA/QC processes to ensure drawing accuracy and consistency.

Qualifications
  • Proficiency in MicroStation and AutoCAD.
  • Experience drafting substation or electrical utility projects preferred.
  • Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and organizational skills.
