Job description

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Architectural Draftsman with a minimum of 3–5 years of professional experience to support our architectural team in the preparation of high-quality construction documents. This role focuses on technical drafting, coordination, and drawing production, working under the direction of licensed architects and project managers.

 What does an Architectural Draftsman do at Bonaventure? 

·         Produce architectural drawings in Revit including plans, elevations, sections, and details

·         Assist in developing permit and construction document sets

·         Update drawings based on architect redlines, consultant input, and field conditions

·         Coordinate architectural drawings with structural, MEP, civil, and landscape disciplines

·         Maintain Revit models in accordance with office BIM standards

·         Assist with as-built drawings and construction revisions

·         Support RFIs, architectural submittal reviews, and permit revisions

·         Organize drawing sheets, notes, and schedules accurately and consistently

 Required Qualifications

·         Minimum 3–5 years of experience in an architectural or AEC office

·         Advanced proficiency in Autodesk Revit for construction documentation

·         Strong understanding of architectural drafting standards and detailing

·         Working knowledge of building materials, assemblies, and construction methods

·         Ability to read and interpret architectural and consultant drawings

·         High attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines

·         Strong communication and collaboration skills

·         Must pass criminal background check and drug test.

 Preferred Qualifications

·         Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Architectural Technology, Drafting, or Architecture

·         Experience with multi-family, residential, or commercial project types

·         Familiarity with local codes, zoning, and permit submittal processes

·         Experience with AutoCAD, Bluebeam, SketchUp, and Adobe Creative Suite

·         Revit family creation or office standards experience
