Job Summary:

Techncial sales experience required

The role serves as the technical bridge between customers, suppliers, sales teams, and internal innovation resources. The primary objective is to help drive specialty ingredient growth by supporting formulation development, solving technical challenges, and commercializing new solutions within the cleaning industry.

Essential Job Functions/Responsibilities:

Customer & Commercial Support

Partner with sales teams on customer development and account growth.

Conduct customer visits and engage directly with R&D and technical stakeholders.

Identify innovation opportunities and formulation requirements.

Provide technical recommendations that support business growth.

Product Development & Formulation

Develop and optimize HI&I cleaning formulations.

Support projects from concept through commercialization.

Troubleshoot manufacturing, performance, and formulation issues.

Utilize internal laboratory and application resources to accelerate development.

Supplier & Technical Expertise

Become the subject matter expert on strategic supplier technologies.

Translate supplier capabilities into customer solutions.

Support supplier onboarding and new product introductions.

Deliver technical training to commercial teams and customers.

Market & Regulatory Leadership

Stay informed on industry trends, competitive activity, and emerging technologies.

Understand regulatory requirements affecting cleaning products in North America.

Identify growth opportunities and help shape market-entry strategies.

Minimum qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in technical discipline (Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Materials Science, etc.).

10+ years of experience in product development, chemical manufacturing, distribution, or related markets.

Strong formulation experience within household, industrial, and institutional cleaning products.

Additional essential attributes:

Well versed with current market trends and key players in the H I&I industry

Aware of the regulatory landscape as it related to H I&I products in North America

Deep understanding of functional ingredient distribution in the H I&I industry

Computer Skills:

Functional knowledge of word processors, database software, sales tools, spreadsheets, presentation modules

Travel:

Requires up to 50% regional travel, as needed

Location:

Flexible to work from home or office, as required
