Job Title: Engineering Technical Manager

Location: 3241 Claude Ramsey Pkwy, Chattanooga, TN 37416

Job Type: Full-time, 40 hours per week, Monday โ€“ Friday

Duties: Lead, Coordinate and Manage the Engineering functions in support of the Chattanooga Plant. Manage group of Production/Industrial Engineers to refine work flow and efficiency. Coordinate all BOMโ€™s and ECNโ€™s for plant operations. Facilitate the plant capital projects and cost reduction programs. Lead and direct process and production improvement programs. Manage plant-based project teams to ensure efficient new product development. Other activities as directed by Plant Manager. Guarantees the maximal availability of the equipment (IMM, Mold, painting, packaging, assembly, and building) by managing capacity planning files for all areas. Ensure plant infrastructure readiness for changing volumes, product portfolio, material usages, etc. Define strategy and budget for capital investments needed to accomplish KPI and plant targets, managing time and implementation of projects. Successful delivery of manufacturing or engineering projects on time and within budget, documented through project plans or KPIs. Managed engineering team with measurable improvements in productivity and project deliverables. Manage internal and external engineering changes in the plant meeting target on time, cost and efficiently. Manage plant layout and capacity studies in the plant for all process for injection, paint and assembly. Manage and is main contact for all new projects for the plant and is responsible of perform a proper handover to the plant and be liaison between project and plant to assure the correct implementation and a proper Start of production in the plant zero events or impact to the customer. This position requires 5% domestic and 5% international travel.

REQUIREMENTS: Employer will accept a Bachelorโ€™s degree in Logistics, Production or a closely related field, and 5 years of experience as an Engineering Manager, Industrialization and Logistics manager, Technical Project Leader, or related role where required experience was gained.

Also requires 5 years of experience in the following:

  • TS 16949, ISO 14001.
  • Project Management.
  • Lean Manufacturing and application in production and layout.
  • Autocad to apply modifications and document layout improvements.
  • Supply chain and logistics to plan according to the value stream map for different processes.
  • Capacity analysis to understand how different processes interlink and planning of capacity.
  • Ergonomics analysis to validate specs and later equipment.
