Job description

Main Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ensuring the quality produced in series production
  • Ensuring the use of quality improvement programs and monitoring the product quality and scrap rate: error analyses, Continuous Improvement Process (Scrap Problem Solving), tracking remedial and improvement measures as specified by the QM
  • Drawing up and implementing local BU quality standards in coordination with BU Production Quality (quality-related work instructions, list of limit samples, etc.)
  • Advising and training the technical departments in all matters relating to quality
  • Assisting the technical department with customer audits for the Business Unit, incl. monitoring the remedial measures
  • Initiating and coordinating the 8D process, incl. the associated internal documentation and the customer portals
  • Training of the production team in quality related issues, i.e. use of SAP QM, work instructions, quality philosophy etc
  • Reporting KPIs in the assigned area
  • Carrying out audits (multi-shift audits, process audits, product audits, 5S audits, LPA, etc.)
  • Assisting the technical department with PFMEA
  • Defining remedial measures based on the product re-qualification results
  • Further individual tasks (only if necessary):
  • Assisting the Quality Blocked material inventory management, incl. the associated internal KPI`s and its reports.
  • Responsible to monitor and control internal KPI`s and its respective boards.
  • Responsible to ensure Shopfloor Meeting is updated.
  • Assisting the Quality Process Inspectors with correlated activities such as, new process controls implementation, SAP-QM orientation, Shift notes.
  • Responsible to define and monitor Scrap Problem Solving activities and results.

Minimum Requirements:
  • Completed bachelor's degree in manufacturing engineering or similar relevant subject
  • At least 4 years of professional experience in similar role or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Prior experience with FORD and/or GM customer service preferred
  • Prior SAP experience preferred
