Job description

Adecco is assisting a local client in recruiting a Data Entry I professional for an onsite opportunity in Houston, TX 77038. This is a great opportunity for someone with data entry or customer service experience to build their skills while working in a fast-paced healthcare-related environment.

POSITION SUMMARY

The Data Entry I position is responsible for accurately transferring information from PDF faxes into the company enrollment system. This role requires strong attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and the ability to process a high volume of information efficiently. The position also provides an opportunity to develop system and equipment knowledge and build skills for advancement within the organization.

RESPONSIBILITIES

The Data Entry I will be responsible for, but not limited to:

  • Process incoming faxes and save documents to the appropriate company directories

  • Accurately enter information from PDF documents into the company enrollment system

  • Maintain patient databases according to HIPAA and company protocols

  • Ensure patient information is current, accurate, and up to date

  • Handle confidential patient information with professionalism and discretion

  • Learn and become proficient in the use and mechanics of company cardiac event monitoring equipment

  • Clearly communicate information to patients and internal customers

  • Review data carefully and identify information that may be incomplete or incorrect

  • Follow company policies, procedures, and established data entry standards

  • Prioritize and complete assigned tasks within required time frames

  • Maintain focus and accuracy despite interruptions and changing priorities

  • Respond quickly and effectively to time-sensitive requests and deadlines

  • Follow verbal and written instructions accurately

  • Demonstrate flexibility and willingness to adapt to changing procedures and responsibilities

  • Maintain consistent attendance, reliability, and productivity

  • Perform other duties as assigned

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 1–2 years of experience in customer service, data entry, healthcare administration, or a related field preferred

  • Previous experience handling confidential information preferred

  • Ability to process a high volume of work while maintaining accuracy

  • Strong attention to detail

  • Accurate typing and data entry skills

  • Intermediate Microsoft Office skills

  • Bilingual skills are a plus
