Job description

Position Summary Odyssey has an exciting opportunity for a Journeyman Configuration/Data Manager, supporting the Tactical Air Control Party (TACP) Program AFLCMC/WIS Asymmetric Warfare Division. This program focuses on advancing, sustaining, and modernizing the Air Force's next-generation communications and C2 capabilities for TACP operators. Responsibilities Duties include, but not limited to: * Independently perform configuration and data management tasks in alignment with the Performance Work Statement.

* Prepare and deliver finished products (spreadsheets, briefings, figures, graphics, tables, forms, papers) in technical and non-technical formats, both classified and unclassified, as requested. * Provide advisory assistance and draft documentation support for configuration and data management activities, including the full range of CM and DM actions. * Assist in configuration management for hardware and software, including: * Reviewing program-unique specifications (system, development, product) for proper format, content, compliance, and export control markings.

* Generate and maintain tracking systems for: * Specification updates, SCN comments, discrepancies, corrective actions, change requirements, implementations, and overall specification status. * Support change proposal activities: * Distribute, log, create, and maintain files of Government-approved change proposals. * Maintain change processing tracking systems for status and reporting from inception through supplemental agreement.

* Perform duties of the CCB Secretariat: * Prepare and facilitate Configuration Control Boards (CCBs). * Develop reports and charts for CCB activities. * Participate in formal technical reviews (e.g., PDR, CDR) and manufacturing/production readiness reviews.

* Provide advisory assistance and documentation support for FCA, PCA, and compliance audits: * Plan audits, review hardware/software configuration items, track discrepancies, and maintain action items and minutes. * Support status accounting functions: * Review prime contractor's status accounting system for accuracy. * Maintain records and databases for specifications, parts lists, version descriptions, SCNs, and change control documents (ECPs, CCPs, variances).

* Provide contract data management support: * Assist with Data Item Descriptions (DIDs), CDRLs, AF Form 585, and data call letters. * Collect backup information and support official data release upon Government approval. * Conduct data reviews: * Coordinate inputs, prepare draft documentation, participate as advisor, draft minutes, and track action items through closure.

Qualifications Minimum Required Qualifications Citizenship: Must be a US citizen Clearance: Active Secret Clearance Education/Experience: โ€ข Bachelor's degree or master's degree in a related field and at least three years of experience in the respective technical / professional discipline being performed, three of which must be in the DoD. โ€ข OR, seven years of directly related experience with proper certifications as described in the PWS labor category performance requirements, five of which must be in the DoD. Technical Skills * Configuration Management Tools - Proficiency with CM/DM systems such as Windchill, Teamcenter, or similar platforms for tracking specifications and changes.

* Data Analysis & Reporting - Ability to create and maintain tracking systems, generate reports, and analyze configuration data using tools like Excel or databases. * Technical Documentation - Skilled in preparing technical documents, specifications, and compliance reports in accordance with industry and government standards. * Software & Hardware Review - Understanding of system specifications, development standards, and configuration audits for hardware and software components.

Interpersonal Skills * Communication Skills - Ability to clearly convey technical and non-technical information to diverse stakeholders, both verbally and in writing. * Collaboration & Teamwork - Works effectively with cross-functional teams, program offices, and government personnel to achieve shared objectives. * Attention to Detail - Ensures accuracy in documentation, tracking systems, and compliance reviews while maintaining clarity in complex processes.

* Problem-Solving & Adaptability - Handles evolving requirements and resolves issues collaboratively, maintaining flexibility under changing priorities.
