Electronic Tech 3 (K98102/03)

We are looking for you to join our team as Electronic Technician 3 based out of Rolling Meadows, IL.

The selected candidate will perform routine technical functions related to the support of assembling, testing, and maintaining advanced electronic systems used in mission critical applications. In this role, you will work hands on with electronic assemblies, circuit boards, and test equipment to ensure systems meet performance and quality standards. This position is well suited for someone who thrives in a fast-paced environment, that enjoys problem solving and takes pride in delivering reliable high-quality work.

The selected candidate will work primarily during the 3RD shift hours (10:00 PM to 7:30 AM).

What You'll Get to Do:

  • Perform functional and performance testing, troubleshooting, and repair of LITENING targeting Pods and subassemblies
  • Operate specialized test stations and test equipment.
  • Perform routine operational tests and fault isolation on systems and equipment.
  • Execute test procedures, record data, and ensure compliance with engineering specifications and military standards.
  • Maintain test documentation, calibration records, and ensure compliance with safety and ESD protocols.
  • Support root cause analysis of test failures and assist with data collection and corrective action implementation.
  • Assist with environmental testing and system level verification.
  • Maintain compliance with safety, quality, and security standards

Basic Qualifications for Electronic Technician 3:

  • High School Graduate and 4 years of related experience -OR- Technical Associate Degree with 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Must be available to work an off shift schedule (3rd shift hours 10:00 PM to 7:30 AM).
  • Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret Clearance.
  • U.S. Citizenship required

Preferred Qualifications for Electronic Technician 3:

  • Electronics training equivalent to 2 years of technical trade school or military technical school
  • Familiarity with testing or maintaining similar electro-optical/infrared targeting systems
  • Familiarity with avionics systems interfaces.
  • Knowledge of automated test systems and data acquisition software.
  • Experience with SAP/GOLD.
  • Experience in military or aerospace manufacturing or depot environments.

Primary Level Salary Range: $63,500.00 - $105,900.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives.
