Job description

sa.global is looking for a skilled D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer to join our dynamic Managed Services team in Canada. As a Managed Services D365 Finance & Operations (F&O) Developer, you will deliver high-quality technical development, troubleshooting, and enhancements for D365 F&O environments, ensuring our clients receive reliable, efficient, and well-designed technical solutions.

Areas of Responsibility

  • Provide hands-on development, troubleshooting, and technical support for D365 Finance & Operations in response to client requests within Service Level Targets (SLTs)
  • Collaborate closely with client stakeholders to enhance their use of D365 F&O, applying best practices in development and support delivery
  • Proactively identify, analyse, and resolve technical issues and risks to minimise disruption for clients
  • Collaborate with team members as part of a global managed services division
  • Recommend improvements to internal development standards, support methodologies, and technical processes
  • Contribute to the analysis, development, and implementation of opportunities for additional services or enhancements that can benefit clients
  • Liaise with Microsoft and ISV partners to address technical issues relevant to client environments
  • Commit to ongoing professional development, pursuing relevant certifications where appropriate
  • Maintain a professional and positive representation of the business in all interactions

Technical Responsibilities

  • Monitoring of live support cases; ensuring clients are kept up to date regarding progress and recording all client related information on the relevant portals
  • Perform routine technical checks on applications and environments and report findings to senior members of the team
  • Assist with maintenance, development, and improvement of sa.global internal systems and client systems
  • Develop customisations and extensions within D365 Finance & Operations using X++ and the extension framework
  • Design, develop, and deploy technical solutions including integrations, enhancements, and system improvements using relevant development tools and technologies
  • Work with data entities, APIs, and integration frameworks to enable data exchange between D365 F&O and other systems
  • Conduct debugging and root cause analysis of technical issues within client environments
  • Conduct unit testing and debugging of developments to ensure they meet specified requirements and are free of defects
  • Create and maintain technical documentation including technical design documents, code documentation, and deployment instructions
  • Ensure that all customisations and developments adhere to security, compliance, and performance standards
  • Collaborate with functional consultants, business analysts, and other stakeholders to translate business requirements into technical solutions

Skills and Experience

  • Demonstrated experience developing solutions within Microsoft Dynamics 365 Finance & Operations
  • Strong knowledge of X++ development and Dynamics 365 extension patterns
  • Experience working with Azure DevOps for source control and development lifecycle management
  • Experience working with integrations, data entities, and APIs within the Dynamics ecosystem
  • Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills in complex technical environments
