POSITION TITLE: CCH Technical Assistant
REPORTS TO: CCH Director
STATUS: Non-Exempt
HOURS PER WEEK: 40
WAGE RANGE: $21.00-$27.00/hour
Position Description
The CCH Technical Assistant ensures that CCH Licensees are complying with Department of Developmental Services (DDS) regulations by visiting clients throughout the State of Connecticut.
Essential Duties/Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure licensing and financial responsibilities are met in all the CCH homes.
  • Participation as a team member.
  • Schedule and visit CCH homes monthly to include a minimum of 15-minute face to face visit with each client.
  • Schedule and attend quarterly and annual Licensee meetings.
  • Required to use personal vehicle or company vehicle (if available) to travel to all meetings.
  • Assist CCH Licensees with completion of their Statement of Deficiencies.
  • Assist CCH Licensees with completion of their Redetermination Statements.
  • Communication with DDS Case Managers and assist with financial issues.
  • Input client financial information into the computer.
  • Have knowledge of and follow DDS regulations.
  • Prepare all necessary visit reports as needed in a timely fashion.
  • Attend monthly CCH staff meetings.
  • Communicate with state agencies (DSS, DDS, Soc Sec) when entitlement issues arise.
  • Assist RN's and the LPN with client issues.

PERFORM CLERICAL DUTIES AS NEEDED INCLUDING:
  • Filing: all client and licensing files.
  • Weed out old information in files and organize old files.
  • Answer telephone and take messages for CCH Director and nurses.
  • Photo coping.
  • Record mileage and submit to CCH Director on a bi-weekly basis.
  • Perform all related duties as requested by the CCH Director/Director
  • Follow all HART policies and procedures
  • Assist the CCH Director with any emergency situations that occur as directed.

Skills and Qualifications
  • Associates Degree preferred, not required.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills. Outstanding interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and planning skills.
  • Maintains highest level of confidentiality.

Travel Requirements
  • Must be willing to drive to locations within the state of Connecticut.
  • Approximately 50%.
