Job description

As a Project Manager, you will coordinate IT service delivery and technology updates for a federal agency. Your work helps keep various IT projects-from infrastructure maintenance to system modernizations-organized and aligned with standard federal requirements.
What you will achieve
  • Project Coordination: Provide program and project management (P/PM) services to support the organization's current and future IT structure.
  • Compliance Oversight: Ensure that project recommendations and plans follow federal policies and agency-wide technical standards.
  • Team Participation: Serve as a subject matter expert in cross-functional Integrated Product Teams (IPTs) to help develop acquisition and risk management strategies.
  • Performance Tracking: Manage project schedules, quality assurance, and financial reporting to ensure service levels are met.
Must-Have Skills (Required)
  • US Citizenship (no dual citizenship)
  • ITIL 4 Certification: Foundation, Specialist, or Expert level certification in ITIL 4
  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university
  • At least 5-10 years of practical experience managing IT projects within a federal environment, including handling risk, schedules, and financial tracking.
  • Familiarity with incremental development methodologies like Scrum or Kanban and the standard system lifecycle phases (DME, O&M).
  • Experience working within certified environments, specifically ISO 9001 & CMMI Maturity Level 3
  • Ability to produce standard federal project documentation, such as Progress, Status, and Management Reports.
Nice-to-Have Skills (Preferred)
  • Experience working within CMMI Maturity Level 5 environment
  • General understanding of modern federal IT concepts like Zero Trust Architecture, Cloud-native environments (PaaS/SaaS), or FICAM.
