Polysomnographic Technologist (Sleep Tech)
Location: Spokane, Washington (Onsite)
Work Type: Full-Time
Schedule: As per department (Sleep Lab - Rotational/Night shifts possible)

Shift Details
• Rotational / Night Shifts (based on Sleep Lab schedule)
• Full-Time Hours
The Polysomnographic Technologist is responsible for performing sleep studies and supporting the diagnosis and treatment of sleep disorders. This role involves monitoring patients, analyzing sleep data, and ensuring proper functioning of cardiopulmonary systems in accordance with physician orders and clinical protocols.
The technologist must demonstrate strong technical expertise, critical thinking, and the ability to manage patients of all age groups while maintaining high-quality patient care standards.
Key Responsibilities
Patient Care & Sleep Study Execution
• Conduct polysomnographic (sleep) studies according to protocols
• Monitor and record patient cardiopulmonary activity during sleep
• Ensure patient comfort and safety throughout procedures
Clinical Monitoring & Analysis
• Analyze and interpret sleep study data
• Identify abnormalities and report findings to physicians
• Apply technical standards and protocols to varying clinical scenarios
Equipment & Technical Support
• Operate and maintain sleep lab equipment
• Troubleshoot equipment issues and ensure proper calibration
• Maintain accurate documentation of test results
Patient Education & Coordination
• Educate patients about procedures and sleep disorders
• Collaborate with physicians and healthcare teams
• Ensure compliance with clinical and safety standards
Must-Have Qualifications
• Completion of ASTEP Program or equivalent education/experience
• Certification:
  • Registered Polysomnographic Technologist (RPSGT) OR
  • Certified Polysomnographic Technician (CPSGT) OR
  • Sleep Disorders Specialty (SDS - NBRC)
    BLS Certification (AHA Required)
    • Minimum 2+ years of recent sleep study experience
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience working with patients across all age groups
• Strong knowledge of sleep disorder diagnostics
• Experience in hospital or sleep lab settings
