Job description

We are seeking a dependable and customer-focused IT Support Technician to provide assistance to ensure the smooth operation of our organization's technology systems. The IT Support Technician will troubleshoot hardware and software issues, assist users with technical problems, maintain IT equipment, and help ensure systems remain secure and operational.
Job Summary: The IT Support Tech will assist the IT department in all aspects of networking, micro market installation and maintenance, firewall management, running network cable and electronic device support.
Essential Functions and Responsibilities:
  • Lives and models BROWN VALUES in everything we do.
  • Install Micro Markets:
    • Physically secure equipment in cabinets
    • Determine the best location for cameras and physically install security cameras to observe products and purchases.
    • Determine best network / internet connection available (customer provided/wireless.)
  • Technical Support for Brown Group Companies
    • Assist with smartphones and technical issues
    • Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot computers, laptops, monitors, printers, mobile devices, and other IT equipment.
    • Troubleshoot applications, software, and devices
  • Set up new user accounts, workstations, software, and equipment.
  • Report outstanding issues that are not resolved that day
  • Participate in all IT department projects as needed
  • Assist with software updates, system maintenance, backups, and security procedures.
  • Follow IT security policies and help protect company systems and data.

Physical Demands:
  • Able to lift 10 lbs. frequently and 40 lbs. intermittently
  • Able to bend, stoop and climb on an intermittent basis.
  • Must be able to stand, walk, and sit for prolonged periods of time.

Work Environment:
  • Position will work in various settings including office, industrial spaces, and breakrooms.
  • Exposed to cold, hot, and rainy conditions.
  • Significant time spent traveling to locations.

  • Valid driver's license and approved driving record.
  • 2-year associates degree a plus.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Knowledge of client/server infrastructure concepts, theories, and applications.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office 365 required
  • Windows 7 and 10 experience
  • IOS and android knowledgeable
  • Must use personal vehicle to travel to locations and will receive mileage reimbursement.
  • Understanding of network security and necessity
  • Knowledge of network cabling a plus
