St. Mary's College of Maryland at Historic St. Mary's City is accepting rรฉsumรฉs for the position of Information Technology Support Technician. The Information Technology (IT) Support Technician is responsible for providing technical and computer services, training and assistance to the campus community. The IT Support Technician will work daily with computer hardware and software, repairing and replacing defective equipment, installing and testing new and/or upgraded software. IT Support Technicians will help troubleshoot problems with members of the campus community and are on-call during office hours to provide field support as needed for the user in need. As the position requires constant interaction with the campus community, strong communication skills are essential.
St. Mary's College of Maryland, the National Public Honors College, is located in Historic St. Mary's City, 70 miles southeast of Washington, D.C. St. Mary's College is one of the nation's best public liberal arts colleges - ranked near the top in U.S. News & World Report and a Best Value for in-state and out-of-state students. Qualifications
  • High School Diploma or equivalent; Associate's degree or above preferred.
  • At least four years of recent relevant experience at troubleshooting both PC and MAC hardware and software problems.
  • Ability to lift and move computers, monitors, and other hardware.
  • Strong verbal, written and organizational skills including spelling, grammar and record maintenance procedures.
  • Ability to handle sensitive situations.

Any combination of acceptable education and experience, which has provided the necessary knowledge and skills to fulfill the requirements of this position, may be considered.
Employment will be contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check.
The salary range is $55,000 - $62,000, depending on qualifications and experience.
