Job description

Job Title: Surgical Technologist
Location: Plano, TX
Job Summary: The Surgical Technologist provides direct and indirect nursing services to the surgical patient under the supervision of a professional nurse. The candidate performs necessary technical skills in a scrub role requiring an aseptic technique as delineated through standards of Operating Room care.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Documents accurately on all records, as indicated by policy.
  • Attendance and being on time and ready to work your scheduled hours is an essential job function.
  • Prepares the operating room for surgical procedures.
  • Ensures surgical equipment is functioning properly and safely.
  • Anticipates the needs of the surgical team based on knowledge of human anatomy and pathophysiology and how they relate to the surgical patient and the procedure being performed.
Qualifications:
  • Graduate of an accredited educational program for Surgical Technologist and current CST or completion of an appropriate training program for Surgical Technology in the Army, Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps or Coast Guard of the United States or in the United States Public Health Service or employed to practice Surgical Technology in a healthcare facility prior to September 1, 2009, required.
  • BCLS
  • Minimum 1-year operating room experience Required.
  • RECENT ACUTE CARE EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Candidates need to have or (operating room) surgical technologist experience.
Compensation:
  • Salary Range: $23.10 - $30 (6 years of experience) $34.64 (10+ years of experience)
  • Sign On Bonus: $15k
  • Relocation: $3k
Additional Information:
  • Shifts: 5-day roles 6:30-7, 6:30- 5, / 3-11 evening
  • Must do on-call/ must live within 30 minutes of the facility.
  • Evenings Shift Diff: $1.50
  • Night Shift Diff: $2.50
  • Weekend Diff: $1
Note: This job requires the candidate to have recent acute care experience and surgical technologist experience. The salary range varies based on years of experience. The client offers a sign-on bonus and relocation assistance.
