Job description

Alliance Safety Council

Agile Project Manager - Delivery Lead

Summary

Alliance Safety Council is seeking an Agile Project Manager - Delivery Lead to drive execution across multiple product and technology initiatives. This role owns sprint hygiene, team coordination, dependency/risk management, and delivery consistency. The Delivery Lead ensures work progresses predictably without relying on the Product Manager to act as the day-to-day organizer and follow-up engine.

Responsibilities

  • Own agile execution across multiple active initiatives (planned work + incoming priorities)
  • Run sprint ceremonies and delivery cadence:
    • backlog grooming support
    • sprint planning
    • daily standups (as needed)
    • sprint reviews/demos
    • retrospectives
  • Maintain sprint hygiene and workflow discipline:
    • ensure work is sized, ready, and sequenced
    • track progress and blockers
    • enforce definitions of ready/done with the team
  • Manage delivery logistics across stakeholders:
    • timelines, risks, dependencies, and handoffs
    • cross-functional coordination (IT, Ops, Finance, Compliance, etc.)
  • Surface delivery risks early and propose mitigation options
  • Keep delivery moving by driving follow-ups, action items, and accountability
  • Coordinate release readiness as needed (UAT timelines, final checks, go/no-go)
  • Provide clear reporting and transparency on progress, risks, and priorities

Key Outcomes / Success Metrics

  • Sprints are predictable, clean, and stable
  • Stakeholders have visibility into delivery status and realistic timelines
  • The product department is not blocked by lack of coordination or follow-through
  • Reduced context switching and meeting overhead on the Product Manager
  • Dependencies are managed proactively (not discovered late)

Requirements

  • 1-4 years experience in agile project management, delivery leadership, or scrum master function
  • Strong understanding of agile delivery practices (Scrum/Kanban/hybrid)
  • Experience managing cross-team dependencies and multiple simultaneous projects
  • Ability to communicate clearly with technical and non-technical stakeholders
  • Strong organizational skills and assertive follow-through

Preferred

  • Experience delivering software products in regulated or operationally complex environments
  • Jira (or similar tools)
  • Experience supporting discovery-to-delivery workflows (not just “ticket pushing”)
  • Experience establishing and owning Project Management processes and best practices

Qualifications

A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, IT, Business Administration or related field.

Proven experience of 3-5 years of project management experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar Agile team role.

A recognized certification like Certified Scrum Master (CSM) or Professional Scrum Manager (PSM) is preferred.

Conflict resolutions skills and proficiency in tools like Jira and Azure DevOps.
