Labcorp is seeking a remote Executive Director, Digital Systems IT Product Management to join our team!

Location: Durham, NC

Applicants who live within 35 miles of Durham, NC location will follow a hybrid schedule. This schedule includes a minimum of three in office days per week at an assigned location, either Burlington or Durham, supporting both collaboration and flexibility.

Work Schedule: This is a fulltime, exempt (salaried) position assigned to a First Shift schedule, with standard business hours of Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. EST.

Business needs may occasionally require flexibility in work hours, including earlier, later, or additional hours, with reasonable notice provided when possible.

Job Responsibilities

Strategic and Visionary Leadership

  • Creates and executes the enterprise-wide digital product strategy and vision for the digital platform systems portfolio. Owns long-term roadmap and alignment with corporate goals.
  • Foster innovation in developing market differentiated digital products for digital platform systems portfolio users that seamlessly integrate and provide solutions to specific needs.
  • Establish and manage the digital platform systems portfolio roadmap, prioritizing feature capabilities that drive enhanced user experience.
  • Build strong relationships with cross-functional teams (sales, engineering, UX design, business owners, marketing) to ensure alignment on product strategy.
  • Final authority on product prioritization, funding, and go-to-market strategy across portfolios.
  • Collaborate, create, develop and deliver digital products that support business objectives and customer needs, while aligning with IT's financial plan.
  • Represents the organization in external forums, partnerships, and industry events. Drives thought leadership.
  • Drives the identification, evaluation, and adoption of AI, automation, and advanced analytics capabilities to accelerate innovation, enhance customer experiences, improve operational performance, and create new business value.

Solution Creation, Development & Delivery

  • Discover and validate market problems (both existing and future customers) using an outside-in approach.
  • Seek new market opportunities by leveraging Labcorp's distinctive scientific and technology expertise.
  • Provide leadership oversight of strategic, technical, and marketing aspects of all products in the portfolio.
  • Solution Lifecycle & Delivery: Oversees end-to-end lifecycle from discovery through commercialization; ensures platform scalability, reliability, and secure-by-design principles; drives best-in-class user experience.
  • Enterprise Change Leadership: Sponsors cross-functional change initiatives and enterprise transformations; aligns with IT, Marketing, and business domains; drives go-to-market strategy.
  • Oversees digital platform systems product portfolios. Responsible for cross-functional integration.
  • Properly position the digital platform systems portfolio for all markets and applicable user segments.
  • Drive adoption across all user segments.
  • Oversee the end-to-end portfolio development lifecycle for all digital platform systems offerings.
  • Ensure global compliance with industry standards and regulations including HIPPA, GDPR, PHI, etc.
  • Develop solutions that achieve the defined vision and deliver desired functionality, best in class user experience and overall brand awareness.
  • Achieve positive return on technology investments based on fact-based metrics.
  • Drive adoption of AI-enabled product management and engineering practices to accelerate product discovery, development, testing, and delivery.
  • Ensures AI-enabled products and capabilities are developed and deployed responsibly, with appropriate governance, privacy, security, and regulatory compliance.

Team Development & Leadership

  • Recruit, lead, coach and develop a diverse, high-performing, cross-functional product team comprised of product owners/managers, UX designers.
  • Talent Strategy & Culture: Builds diverse, high-performing teams; champions inclusion, engagement, and succession; mentors senior leaders and cultivates a growth mindset.
  • Foster a growth mindset within the team, and a culture that encourages collaboration, innovation, delivery and continuous improvement.
  • Invest in professional development to ensure the team stays current with evolving product management disciplines, methodologies and technologies.
  • Create and foster collaborative relationships with senior executive leaders in IT, Marketing and various business domains focused on provider and health systems segments.
  • Builds organizational capability in AI, automation, and emerging technologies by fostering continuous learning, experimentation, and adoption of innovative digital practices.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, with 10 or more years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, life sciences, regulated technology platforms, digital product management, digital transformation, or related technology environments
  • 10 or more years of experience leading large-scale digital transformation, platform modernization, data-driven products, or enterprise technology initiatives.
  • 5 or more years of experience leading product management teams, digital product organizations, technology portfolios, or related functions.
  • 3 or more years of experience identifying, evaluating, implementing, or scaling artificial intelligence, automation, advanced analytics, or related technology solutions.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field with 8 or more years of progressive leadership experience in healthcare, life sciences, regulated technology platforms, digital product management, digital transformation, or related technology environments.
  • 3 or more years of experience supporting digital healthcare platforms, health systems, clinical technology, patient-facing applications, or healthcare data solutions.
  • 3 or more years of experience leading enterprise AI, machine learning, automation, or advanced analytics initiatives.
  • 3 or more years of experience leading enterprise change management, organizational transformation, or technology modernization programs.
