LOGISTICS Customs Brokerage Specialist

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
Pay: $23–$25 per hour
Start Date: Immediate availability preferred

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Customs Brokerage Specialist for a temporary assignment. The ideal candidate will have strong knowledge of customs entries, import documentation, bonded-facility operations, and U.S. Customs and Border Protection (CBP) compliance requirements.

This position requires excellent attention to detail, strong system-navigation skills, and the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced customs brokerage environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare, review, and process customs entries and import documentation.
  • Ensure shipments comply with CBP regulations and brokerage procedures.
  • Support bonded warehouse and cargo-facility operations.
  • Issue, maintain, and manage customs bonds and related documentation.
  • Accurately enter and update shipment, entry, and compliance information.
  • Review documentation for accuracy and resolve discrepancies.
  • Communicate with clients, carriers, warehouses, and internal teams regarding shipment status and documentation.
  • Maintain organized and complete customs records.

Requirements

  • Minimum of two years of customs brokerage and logistics experience.
  • Must have experience transmitting 7512.
  • Experience processing customs entries and import documentation.
  • Strong understanding of CBP regulations, brokerage operations, and bonded-facility requirements.
  • Bonded warehouse or cargo-facility experience, including customs bond management.
  • Proficiency with brokerage, logistics, or warehouse systems such as ITS, E2open, CargoWise, Magaya, or WMS.
  • Strong Microsoft Excel and general computer-system skills.
  • Customs entry writer or data entry writer experience is a plus.
  • Excellent attention to detail, organization, communication, and follow-up skills.
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills preferred.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Immediate availability preferred.
