Job description

Northspyre, the only end-to-end real estate development management platform, empowers developers to make smarter investment decisions with data-driven insights and collaborative workflows. Through automation, analytics, and AI, Northspyre gives teams the real-time information, performance insights, and workflow tools they need to do their job with unparalleled speed and intelligence. By bringing project stakeholders, data, and processes together all on one integrated platform, Northspyre eliminates expensive silos in the development lifecycle, making project delivery simple and outcomes more predictable. Since 2017, Northspyre has been the backbone of operational infrastructure for leading development firms, supporting over $500 billion in projects across the US.
About the opportunity:
Northspyre sits on one of the largest, most unique datasets in real estate development-covering budgets, costs, contracts, invoices, and change orders across thousands of active projects. We're building a market intelligence engine that turns this data into insights developers, owners, and CFOs trust.
This role is a rare hybrid of data analysis and journalism. You'll uncover trends in messy, real-world data, shape clear narratives, and publish authoritative content that positions Northspyre as the source of truth for development intelligence.
This role blends analytical rigor with editorial judgment, curiosity, and storytelling. Hustle, curiosity, and editorial judgment matter as much as analytical rigor.
In this role you get to:
  • Own the creation of two major, long-form data reports per quarter, each with a clear storyline, strong analysis, and point of view.
  • Explore large datasets to uncover meaningful trends, anomalies, and signals.
  • Clean and normalize unstructured data using SQL, Excel, and statistical techniques.
  • Write thoughtful, insight-driven content for a senior real estate audience.
  • Act as a journalist: proactively source perspectives through outreach and interviews to complement the data.
  • Host webinars tied to major reports, presenting findings and engaging with industry audiences.
  • Partner with brand and design to translate core insights into short-form content and presentations.

We are looking for people who have:
  • Fluency in real estate development, economics, or adjacent domains
  • Strong long-form writing ability and proven editorial judgment.
  • Experience working hands-on with data, including cleaning and validating complex datasets.
  • SQL experience (Snowflake preferred) and advanced Excel skills.
  • The ability to turn analysis into a compelling narrative, not just charts.
  • A self-starter mindset-you generate ideas, pursue sources, and move work forward independently.
  • Intellectual curiosity and critical thinking; you can separate signal from noise.
  • Comfort conducting outreach, interviews, and follow-ups.

Bonus points if you have:
  • Published market or industry reports that have been widely shared or cited.
  • Experience in real estate, land economics, development economics, or CRE research.
  • Webinar hosting, live presenting, or panel moderation experience.
  • Background in journalism, equity research, or brokerage/consulting research.
  • Familiarity with statistical analysis beyond basic descriptive metrics.

Benefits and Perks
  • In addition to a competitive salary, we are offering a meaningful stock option package
  • Comprehensive Medical, Dental, and Vision. Multiple plan options, including a plan option for 100% employer-paid premium for individual coverage for full-time employees.
  • 401k Match to help you save for your future (Fully vested after 6 mo eligibility period)
  • Unlimited Vacation, Paid Sick Leave, and major US Holidays
  • Awesome company swag!
  • Free access to Health Advocate
  • Hybrid & Remote opportunities - we have an Amazing new office in Midtown Atlanta
  • You will be part of a small, professional fast-moving team with minimal supervision
