Job description

In this role you will be supporting the engineering team by creating AutoCAD drawings and models for the design and construction of water slide projects. You will work closely with the Project Specialists and Project Leads, working on multiple projects at a time.


Please note this is an in-office position, located at our head office in Ottawa, ON, address: 2650 Queensview Dr. Unit #150, Ottawa, ON K2B 8H6.

YOUR CHALLENGE:


  • Supporting the Project Leads and Project Specialists with creation of AutoCAD based project drawings, such as drawings detailing the sequence of water slide parts, mechanical and electrical requirements, layout of water slide supports, etc.
  • Create bill of materials for fiberglass, mechanical, electrical, and plumbing components
  • Assist in the maintenance and customization of project specific installation details.
  • Prepare water ride assembly manual for installation crew.
  • Assist engineering team with project close-out documentation.
  • Assist in the development and creation of standard documents and templates.
  • Create Architectural 3D model of track support plan for BIM modelling.


WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:


  • Technologist Diploma in Engineering or Applied Science (Mechanical, Civil, Structural).
  • 1-3 years experience in AutoCAD, experience in 3-dimensional design an asset.
  • Past work experience (professional or co-op) in the construction industry is considered an asset.
  • Attention to detail and strong analysis skills.
  • Enthusiasm for collaborative work as part of a team, but also able to work autonomously.
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills.
  • Able to meet tight deadlines in a fast paced, and professional environment.


COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:


  • Salary range: $50,000 - $65,000
  • 3 weeks paid vacation
