Windows Server, Hyper-V, VMWare, O365, Azure, Firewalls, Network Troubleshooting, IT Infrastructure Installations

We are seeking a Server / Project Engineer to support and implement server, network, and infrastructure solutions for small to mid-sized business environments. This is a hands-on, client-facing role focused on both project delivery and ongoing technical support across a wide range of IT systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install, configure, and support servers, networks, and IT infrastructure at client sites and remotely
  • Support Windows Server environments, including Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, DHCP, and IIS
  • Administer Microsoft 365 (Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, Azure integrations) and support hybrid environments
  • Troubleshoot virtualization platforms including VMware and Hyper-V
  • Maintain and support network infrastructure including switches, VLANs, Wi-Fi, QoS, and VoIP systems
  • Configure firewalls, VPNs, and endpoint security tools (MFA, EDR, MDR, antivirus)
  • Participate in infrastructure projects, upgrades, and deployments
  • Provide occasional after-hours and weekend support on a rotating basis
  • Travel to client sites as needed (typically within a two-hour radius)

Required Experience

  • 5+ years in a systems/server/network engineering or infrastructure support role
  • Strong experience with Windows Server and Microsoft 365 administration
  • Solid understanding of Active Directory, Group Policy, and core networking services
  • Experience with VMware or Hyper-V virtualization
  • Knowledge of firewalls, VPNs, and network security tools
  • Hands-on troubleshooting of LAN/WAN, wireless, and VoIP environments
  • Strong communication and client-facing skills

Preferred

  • Certifications such as Microsoft, Security+, Network+, A+, or SonicWall
  • Experience in fast-paced MSP or multi-client environments
