D.R. Horton, Inc. is currently looking for a IT Data Manager-FS. The right candidate is responsible for ensuring the accuracy, consistency, governance, and effective use of data across DHI Mortgage, DHI Title, and DHI Title Insurance Company. This role focuses on defining and maintaining trusted data assets through strong data modeling, metadata management, and stewardship practices that support reporting, analytics, and regulatory needs. 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Lead Financial Services efforts related to data governance, data modeling, metadata management, and data quality

  • Define, maintain, and govern conceptual, logical, and physical data models for Mortgage, Title, and Title Insurance domains to ensure consistency across reporting and analytics

  • Partner with Corporate IT data leaders to align Financial Services data definitions, data models, and governance standards with enterprise practices and shared platforms

  • Lead the development and maintenance of analytical and dimensional models used for reporting and regulatory analysis, ensuring business logic is clear, documented, and consistently applied

  • Build and maintain the Financial Services data dictionary and business glossary, including definitions for data elements, metrics, allowable values, ownership, stewardship, lineage, and usage guidance

  • Collaborate with business data owners, Information Security, and Compliance to validate data definitions, classify sensitive data, and ensure regulatory and audit requirements are met

  • Establish and enforce standards for naming conventions, conformed dimensions, metric definitions, and reference data to reduce ambiguity and duplication

  • Supports reporting and analytics teams by providing guidance on proper data usage, definitions, and model interpretation

  • Coordinate change management activities related to data definitions, models, and documentation as applications and reporting needs evolve
  • Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and data privacy laws

  • May provide functional or people leadership for data analysts or data governance resources, including prioritization, mentoring, and crossteam coordination

  • Ensure teams adhere to all departmental and DRH corporate policies including but not limited to the SDLC as documented and implemented at DHIFS

Supervisory Responsibilities

  • May have supervisory responsibilities

Education and/or Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Data Science, or equivalent experience

  • 3 years of experience in a regulated financial services environment, preferably mortgage lending, title insurance, or underwriting

  • Strong knowledge of relational databases, data warehousing concepts, and ETL/integration processes.

  • Experience supporting enterprise reporting platforms and semantic models

  • Demonstrated experience with data governance, data quality management, and regulatory reporting.

  • Ability to independently identify problems and bring to resolution

  • Customer service oriented with excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Must be customer service oriented

  • Ability to sit for majority of 8-hour workday; use hands to finger, handle or feel; reach with hands and arms; talk and hear.  Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and peripheral vision

  • The noise level is generally moderate

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with cloud-based, on-prem, and/or hybrid data platforms

  • Strong understanding of financial services data models and transactional workflows

  • Familiarity with audit/control concepts and regulated data handling practices (e.g., confidentiality, segregation of duties)
