MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Data Scientist to join our team in Patuxent River, MD.  This is a full-time onsite position that will support MANTECH's Data and AI Practice.

As a Data Scientist on our team, you will play a key role in developing advanced Dashboard Analytics, showcasing real-time capabilities that directly support Navy and Marine Corps Aviation. You'll work in a collaborative team environment, focused on solving complex technical challenges associated with data gathering and visual presentation, in direct support of our customers' most critical missions.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Apply data mining, data modeling, natural language processing, and machine learning to extract and analyze information from large structured and unstructured datasets
  • Visualize, interpret, and report data findings
  • Create dynamic data reports
  • Apply knowledge to develop and implement a set of techniques or analytics applications to transform raw data into information using data-oriented programming languages and visualization software
  • Must be able to travel locally up to 10%

Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in technical or business discipline and 3+ years experience as a data scientist, or Associate's degree and 7+ years of data scientist experience or High School Diploma and 9+ years of Data Scientist experience might be substituted for a bachelor's degree.
  • 2+ years of experience supporting Naval Aviation Enterprise (NAE) organization and operations
  • Proficiency with QLIK and Tableau

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to conduct briefings to Senior Military & Civil Service personnel
  • Prior experience in professional services or federal IT consulting environment
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Power platforms

Clearance Requirements:

  • US Citizenship with a current/active Secret clearance, with the ability to obtain Top Secret

Physical Requirements:

  • Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
  • Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and government stakeholders, which may involve delivering technical presentations.
  • Must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.

The projected compensation range for this position is $128,800.00-$214,500.00. There are differentiating factors that can impact a final salary/hourly rate, including, but not limited to, Contract Wage Determination, relevant work experience, skills and competencies that align to the specified role, geographic location (For Remote Opportunities), education and certifications as well as Federal Government Contract Labor categories.  In addition, MANTECH invests in its employees beyond just compensation.  MANTECH's benefits offerings include, dependent upon position, Health Insurance, Life Insurance, Paid Time Off, Holiday Pay, short-term and long-term Disability, Retirement and Savings, Learning and Development opportunities, wellness programs as well as other optional benefit elections.
